Anyone have a recommendation for a decent ski leash? I'd like to have one that keeps me fairly far away from my ski while crashing

just use some old shoelass

Moving to BC really opened up my eyes to what skiing is really about. HINT: Skiing isn't about tiny verticals, shit talking, and private clubs galore. Get the fuck out of Glen Eden and Craigleith or Caledon, and get real.'-what jib this thinks of me

why the fuck would you want a leash? you have brakes on your skis... or you could just put your din up to as high as it can go...

You guys ever tried looking around for 20 minutes in waist-deep powder trying to find a ski? Yeah, I thought not.

^ yup after 180'ing on a cattrack today into deep pow and losing my ski for 10 minutes its only a matter of time before I lose it at the bottom of a cliff

use powder leashes, they are flourescent ornage things that hook on to your brakes. U just tuck it into your pants then when u fall it is easy to find your skis. I always have to use them at Castle Mountain. If you're really poor just tie orange survevers tape abput 10 feet long to your skis... that basically whayt the leahes are anyeways.

I dont link them cause when you whipe after a cliff or something and you start cartwheeling down you got 2 fat sticks tied to your feet wacking you in the head.

i would only use the tape if it's a super powder day and you don't wanta go looking for your skis after you fall for 20 mins! so it's a good idea for big powder days.

yup, thats the downside of a leash. but if they dont kill you, then they do make it easier to find your skis. i remember looking for a friends PE in 3 feet of pow for over an hour. fuck i was pissed at him for falling, missed a good 4 runs of pow or so

My skis have tyrolias and their brakes suck so they break off when you ride swich so the other day the kid i was riding w/had to chase down teh mnt to get my ski. It would have been nice to have a leash then.

leashes = snowboarding, sorry, no dice.

'what?' Lauren every time you ask her a question for the first time!

skiing what i thought this was a porn site and every one i was talking to were sexy ppl ..i thought skiing was a sex term we all uesed. damn!-twintiprider

dude, leashes on skis are bad ideas, there's a reason why they release, you don't want your ski comin around and smackin you cause it's tied to you're boot, they have those flourescent powder thingys to find your skis in deep stuff

Ive lost my skis in the pow a few time it sucks.

I just tie some bright flagging to my bindings, some people use colorfull tape.
