Learning ollies and tail butters (In Florida)

I suck at both and it's 2 weeks until I see snow again so training :). I feel like I am weak when leaned back. I did 15 minutes of easy Ollies and butters on cardboard; makes my old knees ache so I am going to ease into my new training scheme... any advice is welcome! Gonna try with a bigger 'mat' :)

I always love to practice on a carpet area. It keeps you in place well and is an easy balance. Remember to throw your weight and center mass backward while moving your feet and skis up and forward. Butters are more about the position of your body relative to your skis. Like putting the center of your weight over your the tips of your skis will put you into a nose butter! Hope this helps! Keep those dins tight!

Do you have room for a backyard set up? If so you could be the only person in FL hitting rails on skis.

Plenty :) I have a long term (1 yr out) plan of doing some kinda ski setup off of a shed roof (shed doesn't exist yet).

Thats whats up. You can slap together a decent little drop in to get you skiing on a day off though. Might be worth it to the6oq together something even if not perfect so you can ski while while waiting to build the shed
