Learning off-axis spins... how?

What is the best way to learn off-axis spins and other flips, specifically bio, misty, and flat? My friends have always learned by huck-and-tuck, and hope they can find their footing on the landing, but they either hurt themselves trying or if they do get it, it's kind of out of control. For example, one of my friends learned to do a flat 5 that way, but then as soon as he tried throwing a mute in, it changed his spin and he dislocated his shoulder. What is the best way to learn these spins?

Like pretty much everyone before you has, just throw it. Kids are too soft these days. You get hurt so be it, just try it again when your not hurt. You can't perfect a spin doing it once. It's all about repetition.

if you can land it on a trampoline chances are you will be able to at least get the rotation down on snow so if you know you can do it just throw it on a smaller jump on a slush or pow day and see what happens you just gotta go for it

just get really comfortable with regular spins, it shouldnt have to feel like an entirely new type of flip or spin, if you cant do good regular spins your not exactly going to be able to throw clean cork 7 tails so get really good at regular spins then start carving into them or just dip your shoulder a little

Practice on the tramp.

Flatspin-drop shoulder do backflip

Bio- Throw following shoulder forward and spin.

Misty- No idea. Pretty much the one trick I am absolutely horrible at

See if you can find a trampoline class? I went to one once, and the lady taught us how to do corks.

(Not that I went and did them on skis afterwards but I feel like if I wanted to now at least I have a half idea of how to do them)

the problem with me is i'm fine with them on tramp, but when i try the exact same motion on snow i fuck up

the difference between a jump and a trampoline is on a tramp you have to flip a full 360 degrees while off of a jump (where the jump is at an angle and so is the landing) you are only flipping about 300 degrees. This leads to a lot of people overrotating their corks. On snow just chill with the flipping part but keep the spin the same and you'll stomp it.

take your hating somewhere else bro. For example, try youtube. Or Facebook. There are a lot of your kind there, maybe you can make a friend.

in my opinion a rope swing learning tricks is much more like skiing then a trampoline. rope swings the swing is almost like the movement of going of a jump. try that
