Learning Corks

try to send a spin instead of a flip, just lean you head and your left shoulder back while sending a 720. your problem here is that you try to do a 180 and then flip(some kind of misty) instead of sending an off axis 720

thanks, i have only done mistys for the past ever and im just now trying to learn other tricks so if im freaking out mid air it turns into a misty!

yeah it's totally normal. Try this, just do a 360 and land on your back. once you got that on lock send the exact same spin( leaning back and spinning) but a bit harder so it'll turn into a cork 7. If you can send the spin but you can't land on your feet than just tuck at the 2/3 of your cork, it prolly get you back on your axe. I hope it makes sense haha good luck

Just set a normal spin but dip your shoulder and head and hopefully it will cork you out, but you don't want to think of it as a flip, just an off axis spin

a tip that was pretty helpful for me was, imagine taking your right hand and grabbing the tail of your right ski, but your grabbing it over your left shoulder.. if that makes sense, if you can figure that out and practice that, it will bring you off axis and bring you right back! hope this helps!

hah its weird i just learned to do corks a few days ago just by kinda trying and it worked out, and now i can almost cork 9. i can stomp cork 7's, theyre actually way easier than cork 5's for me atleast

What helped me the most was just to 180 to misty five. It might not make sense but I couldn't get them and this worked for me

toss a solid japan in that since your hands already goin that way anway to keep it compact it itll start lookin good

kinda looks like a D spin?

but threads. i've sort of learned to cork 7. i was once told to jump, start spinning, and reach your left hand back to grab your right foot (for spinning left). then it's just a matter of practicing and getting the motion down and stomping. like someone else says, at some point a cork 7 turns into more like a 180 to misty 5 for me.

on a side note, if you're learning new tricks, try for a flat 5. it's really easy. my friend taught me by having me spin a 540 and pick up my legs. it's really easy and super fun to add cool grabs like truck drivers and bow/arrow. just jump, start spinning, and at about 180 or so, suck up your knees and go inverted.
