Learning a frontflip

So I decided to try and learn to do a frontflip on the ground today in my back yard. The problem I am running into every time is that I land on my butt or barely on my toes. And when I land on my feet, which is rare, I am crouched all the way down. I'm close to getting the rotation but i still can't get it. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong and what I can do to fix it?

its basically impossible not to land crouched on flat land. maybe try jumping up more before you start to throw down

run into the flip, take a leap forward right before the flip, and i mean FORWARD, NOT UP, and then on the jump into the flip transition alll of that forward momentum from the leap and the running into upward momentum, get high up in the air, and flip.

i cannot do straight frontflips but this is how i learned to do frontflip 180's on flat ground.

thanks for the tip I think thats what I need to do. I know a crouch is gonna happen it's just my crouch is like super super low. And I know that you can do a front flip on land landing with almost no crouch
