Im looking to learn to do a backflip on skis this year how long should it take and should i have a instructor help or is it something you just gotta go balls out and do it.
assuming you can do it on tramp or flatground, just build a small lip that will pop you up. if ur not comfortable with that, make a pow landing. i learned that stuff on the small lips on the sides of trails
DONT TRY IT OFF A PARK JUMP FIRST TIME!!!!1!!!!11!!!!!
build a jump into pow with alot of kick because chances are first time you will catch your tips.
doing them onto an airbag the first few times is also a good idea to get used to the feel of flipping with skis on, its alot different then trampoline.
if you want to avoid a season-ending injury, dont huck it off a 10 foot table first day.
make a nice kicker with a nice pow landing, doesnt have to be a big kicker smaller the better for the first time, then just lean back and tuck, tucking your legs does everything for you, the weight of your skis flips you, if you can do a back flip on tramp you can do it on skis, i find it easier on skis, check my profile for video of my first back flip
