mcnish crash was not ferrari fault. He jumped the gun on the inside line there. Rockenfeller was the ferrari fault, no doubt.

I love the race so much. Pretty spectacular milestone since this year, is the 80th running of the race. Unbelievable.
 
Wow, quad post. For those who don't know, I'm pretty sure that the top gear delta wing isn't the actual delta wing of Highcroft's that racing.
 
ha, it's like didn't even see or pay any attention to the delta wing. he just hit it and was like, what was that, a bug?

I've seen the corvettes in person. They're REALLY loud. way louder than all the other cars.

also there was a shot from inside one of the corvettes before, where they were coming up right before or after the start, and there was a set of front lights pointed towards the oncoming racers. Right as you came around the corner too. scared me a bit even.
 
So sad. Also wish that the Corvette prototype thats racing in the Rolex series was racing in American Le Mans or the 24 hours of Le Mans as an LMP1 or LMP2 car.

I saw that deltawing crash live and jaw dropped at how crazy everyone was going at it right from the restart. Something was bound to happen...
 
Daaawe. He gave it his all. Too bad that they crashed where they did. If he could have limped it back to the pits, they probably could have got it running again.
 
That sucks that it got destroyed, it seems to be a fine piece of engineering.

Also what is up with the audi lights? The headlights have like every color in them and all these different patterns. Like they were pulling into the pits together before and one cars were alternating left and right, the others was just flashing on and off. Then they blink different colors and such. It must mean something to the pit crew or something.
 
i think that both were easily the ferraris fault, mcnish had the corner, definitely had a nose on the ferrari, the ferrari was giving him room then turned in on him, well past the actual turn in.
 
yeah, and i guess the gt class should have yielded. I just feel he jumped the gun a bit. Oh well, Ferrari took out toyota this year so Audi doesnt have to worry.

watched about 9-10 hours so far. Been spending all my time on the car forum i am a part of, been a decent race. Sad the toyotas are done though.
 
The little Aston that could just flew off after setting a new GT Pro lap record.They were absolutely flying, and coming very close to the Ferrari.

Damage seems to be light but it does set them back and they have to do the work all over again.

Ok the coloured borders for the audi's on their lights are just for pitting I think.... In the super slo-mo's, the audi's headlights flash like a strobe. Whats up with that?
 
yes, they are for pitting. and all lights flicker based on frequency levels. Thats why tube lights in classrooms seem to flicker, they have low frequency.

It was a highspeed camera that was shooting the audis so you saw the frequency of light.
 
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is still a few laps behind the Ferrari's but it's hauling ass.

It just went faster then the qualification times for it's class.

That was defiantly the Audi driverers fault both times. There was no aggresSive movement by the ferrari drivers either times. The Audi drivers were just being to aggressive and tried to go up the inside and hit the Ferrari drivers when they were turning in.
 
why is there no Peugeot this year? the fight between them and audi was the best.

either way audi is killing it this year, like always.
 
Audi confirmed for P.1,2,3 and 5.

The Aston Martin Racing Team, was trying everything but they were too far behind so it remained a third place for them.

The did get the fastest lap from any GT car do, even faster then the GT qualifying pole position.

A small victory for the plucky Brits.
