LDC UK Customs charge

Just been hit with a massive £30.19 customs charge for my pants or they wont release it at the depot.I cant believe they charge VAT and import and excise duty on such a minimal item. Bad times :(
 
import duties blow, they only harm the consumer and protect failing domestic industries resulting in a social welfare dead-weight loss and as in the uk we don't have any industries producing decent ski gear i don't know why we're paying duties on them, pointless. yea i'm definitely a free trade hippy
 
In Norway you have to pay 10 percent in customs+ 25 percent in MVA. Dont know what that is called in english, but it sucks.
 
I had to pay £44 to get my Saga jacket into Norway, and I was a bit surprised I didn't have to pay more actually. I was supposed to pay £60 or something, but got off with only £44 since Saga had written a lover value on the package.

 
had the exact same with ldc pants from someone on here atm, £30.63 customs fee, sucks. my auntie says when she buys things from the us she asks to put it down to $43 dollars instead of $49 as she buys hair extensions, then sends them another $6 dollars haha.
