Sickest street clip I have ever seen. I love spots like that because it’s not just a skateboard imitation, there are rocks and grass and logs and shit involved. Also he is going fast as fuck. Clip is at 6:00

Like handrails, ledges etc that involve surfaces you could skate on

I think ppl ride urban because its there, not because they want to be skateboarders

Yeah but you can’t tell me there isn’t a pretty heavy influence, people see someone do something on a skateboard then try it on skis

What I was really trying to say was that I think it’s dope how there are natural and man made features together in this shot, usually it’s one or the other with skiing

Favorite video to drop this fall. Oliver is a genius. Watch the exposure change in haralds hand plant 3 out the window.

so stoked to see another year of some very tasteful skiing by Lauri

I didn’t totally understand some of his spot selections in forrmula, a lot of them just looked kind of sketchy and weird, but after seeing this video I think I get it now

ive had the keeshlife movies on repeat this fall and all of his segments are so good

Personally thought his corked nosepress wallride thing was his best clip but I definitely agree that his shots in meet me in the sauna were 100x heavier and more creative than his clips in forrmula, definitely my personal fav part by him

I was just thinking about this, it might have more to do with the filming style. All of the clips in forrmula are shot from pretty far away, whereas the meet me at the sauna clips are closer to the action, which I think is better for these type of shots cause it really captures how sketchy and fast he is going

I think it was a lot things but I think forrmula was clearly just not a good representation of his skiing. Honestly that segment didn’t really do it for me, thought he was pretty average. His clips in MMATS showed me that I was wrong and now I feel stupid for ever thinking that lowly of him lol. Lauris a beast!

The homies started calling em hell ride spots- super hectic hill bomb ones. It’s sorta a line but more just impressive to survive it.

Yeah that’s next level genius

to be frank, all the classic skate cameras had built in ND filters that were easy to switch mid shot. that technique was pretty standard for filming lines where the lighting changed throughout the shot. it's less of an issue now with the more powerful sensors and increased low light performance that most cameras have.

that said, i enjoyed oliver's filming and this flick overall. the cut was good - all skiing, no bs (no hate to MFL, i enjoyed that too). great music selection.
