Latest season edit looking for advice?

song was horrible, but the edit wasn't that bad, plus you fucking charge so it was fun to watch
 
Blacks were crushed a little too low in the section around 3:05. Also you got the shitty-looking ghost frames there because you slowed down shots that were already in 30fps. Film in 60fps if you want to slow it down next time.

Also use a song that everyone hasn't already heard a million times.

I loved the skiing though. You killed it. Looks like it was really fun.
 
i don't think this is necessarily true. if you like the companies and support their stuff, by all means, rep them.
 
I agree with this. If a company has earned enough of your respect that you put their logo at the beginning of video- good on them. it's a way of giving back some love
 
I have to disagree. I see where you're coming from, but I just think its out of place. But thats just my opinion, it didn't actually take away from the video at all.
 
i just think, in what way is putting a company logo in your video different than putting their logo on your car, skis, etc. with stickers?
 
i see where youre coming from, but i just have always thought logos in edits were only for sponsor logos, and i think that is what most people think, because farrrr fewer and usually only sponsored people put the companies in.

and since most people (IMO) assume its a sponsor, then they may think that is how the company wants to be repped, thus giving the company a bad image in some peoples minds.

(i have no idea if that made any sense)

think of it this way: if FD wear put a logo of a company of whom they arent sponsored by in their videos, would that company like that? probly not (depending on the company) because it seems to most people like they sponsor fd wear, when in reality they may not want to be associated with them at all.
 
Unless something has changed since I left the place, Hookit is bullshit. Just putting that out there. I mean what did you get? 10% off Klint for signing a piece of paper? It's advertising with a shitty disguise. So, I would say that doesn't count for shit. Go get sponsored by a shop. You're certainly good enough.

My only comments on the edit was that your colors were a little whack in some of the shots here and there, almost like you forgot to color correct them. Also, as someone said above, using a song that's a little less well known would be good. I also though the vibe of the song wasn't quite right, but that's a little more my personal opinion. I'd also love to see a better ending. Your intro was pretty good, but the ending was too abrupt in my opinion. It just stopped in mid song and mid shot.

Keep it up. We all start somewhere.
