Large amounts of snow sticking to bases

about 3" of snow fell near my house recently, and i decided to set up a rail in my yard. whenever i tried using it, i would stop short of the lip because my skis were sticking to the snow bad. whenever i took them off, i would find large amounts of snow stuck to my bases (had to use a shovel to get them off). when i tried my brothers skis, they slid on the snow fine. is there a problem with my skis? how can i fix this? *NOTES* My skis are the 2013 armada el reys. i have only used them once prior to this, and they slid fine. They still have the original waxing from the factory. +the ground isnt frozen yet and the temp was above freezing when the snow fell.

Well there is your problem. The factory wax from any ski company will probably be shit.

But it still doesn't make sense that it is sticking so bad it makes you stop.

Factory wax isn't anything

Wax your skis

You said it yourself, the snow was wet and the temp was above freezing

yeah generally people use this weird shit called wax on their skis when they get slow and sticky.

I prefer PAM brand non-stick spray though. Much cheaper and more reliable.
