Landing Backwards

Hey NS,

I am having trouble landing backwards off jumps in the park. It seems when i do a 180 I just am unstable in the air and cant land it. I want to get my switch landings good so i can get 5's and switch 3's before the end of the year. Any tips on switch landings off jumps?
 
if you're just doing a 180, I bet you do it right off the jump and thn spend all the time in the air backwards. try and set spins so they take up your whole air time. or hold a grab with a 180, or do a shifty, or do a late 180.

i feel really unbalance in the air and i just slam. usually i slide out to the sides or catch an edge and fall backwards
 
yeah it seems i spend a lot of the time backwards in the air and that is when i become unbalanced.

Do you think if I just go for the 5 then i will be fine?
 
Start on a smaller jump so you're not in the air for so long. Keep those legs open... nice and wide. It'll give you extra stability. If you're just doing a 180 don't worry about looking over your shoulder, could make you unbalanced so just get use to the feeling of being backwards first.
