i just stomped my first backflip yesterday and i wand to know whats next. im comfterable on bigger jumps now so tell me what you think

these threads always seem more like a claim thread than anything.

why do you need somebody to tell you what to try next? back when i used to actually try stuff, i always knew what i wanted to try next, usually it seemed pretty obvious. just learn whatever you want to man, there's no trick you 'should' try to learn next. if you want another basic flip then i would say rodeo 5 i guess, seems to be the next step for most people.

another good one.

but you have so many options. work on your switch jumps, unnatural spins, maybe just get bigger forward spins, corks, whatever. no way for us to know what you should try/what you want to learn.

obviously this ,

I don't know for you but my progression plan is always in my head, If I land a 540 mute , logically i'll go for a 720

If I land a Front flip , I'll go for a misty

back flip = flat spin

I don't know maybe its just me

I'm not sure if you're agreeing or trying to make fun of me but seriously backflips are incredibly easy. Just throw yourself back and look for the landing, easier than 3s.

I concur, backs are way easier than 3s

higher risk though if you eat shit. which is really some people's definition of difficulty.

I agree and disagree with you, i think that landing 360's are harder because of your inertia, but i think that combining the twisting and movement of a backflip are harder. and adding the psychological issue of going upside down makes it seem scarier.

What's scary about backflips, I really don't get it. You spot your landing literally after traveling 5 feet from the lip. Frontflips are wayyy scarier than backs in my opinion, mainly because you can't see shit until you've practically landed.

backflips are much more psychological in my opinion. its much scarier to huck yourself backward then forward, although backies are easier physically.

if you dont have 100% commitment with a backflip you will not land it. fact. thats unlike a lot of other tricks, my first 270s were super wimpy but i still landed them

I can see what you're saying, but I think spotting the landing so early makes up for having to trust physics for a quarter of a second. And to the guy who said I have balls of steel, I didn't mean to come off like that.
