All in the park, and on highway... dagmar wasnt making any when I rolled in there the other night...wonder who will open first this time??

thast actually a really good point i didnt think about that...put it looks like lakeridge has more of a drive to open hella-early this season...but i am putin my money on dagmar opening first...and besides...when dagmar opens they willmost likley have a little table and a rail set up so thast cool with me...

doesnt really matter if it rains, Lakeridges snow is so full of snowmax the piles are basically big icebergs,It wont melt completely...that snowmaking system in the park is sick.....they put a shit load of cash in that park over the past couple of years...

i just drove by there, and decided to drive in....I saw a dude snowboarding where the park is...obviously just hiking, and I think he's hitting a rail or box or something...we should hit it up! but the heat factor might be high, I dont want to get busted for trespassing or something stupid.

they will still open same weekend, being december 3rd.. guaranteed. Only difference is Dag wont spend as much on the guns as lakeridge becuase there not on yet and wont loose all the money lakeridge pumped out for the base that could possibly melt away due to forcast weather. PERHAPS someone at dagmar has an idea what is going on.

this is only my guess, we will wait and see

they might lose some sure. but if you see the actual amount of snow there, its pretty impressive.....it wont all melt....and as far as the ground not being frozen, I really dont think it matters, hills blow early season every year, and it doesnt seem to have much of an effect. Snow max is a chemical that is added to the water when they make snow, it allows snow to be made at higher humidity levels and temperature and it stays better in warmer weather. but we'll see what happens.

I don't care who opens first really...I just want some hill in Onterrible to open!

i was there today well at dag but i could see it. it looked like the whole thing was covered in snow. Looked impressive. Sure some will stay. Sure some will melt. They will both open dec 3rd .. im not changing my guess

lakeridge is stupied i whent by there today and like prettty much all of the snow has melted so they just blew soo much money.. dagmar starts blowing on the 20th

today is the 20th. All the snow has melted at Lakeridge???? why must you fill this forum full of lies! theres still lots of snow, and its supposed to cool down again this week... props to L.R. for making snow.... the snowmaking system in that park is so dope, they'll have the first decent park out of the 2 for sure.

GORDON THE SCIENCE GUY SAYS...

Snow max is not a chemical...its a bacteria....basically it works buy giving the water crystals something to build off of....its more efficent then lets say dirt/silt in the water...but does the same thing (its an IDEAL imperfection in the otherwise pure water), it will not make the snow stay on the ground any longer then any other man made snow...man made snow lasts longer because it isn't a flake...its an ice particle in the shape of a pill....the ground being frozen becomes important...believe it or not, in the spring...or any mid season thaws...prefrozen ground (frost depth) retains snow for alot longer then un frozen ground....thats why some resorts...having held off in the fall...have better snow longer during january thaws and spring skiing...how'd every one like the comp last year in march at OSC...after the other guys shut down? Its a pay me now pay me later deal...it all depends on the resorts focus...OSC uses no snowmax or other product, it doesn't make us right or them wrong...it a business choice...as long as the piles made earily in the season aren't pushed around and levelled they well "store" well...snow insolates snow...but when people even walk through a pile it rapidly progresses the melting speed.

but basically you had it down....

will lakeridge and dagmar open before blue mountain? cause i havnt heard much on blue if they are blowing snow yet or not

wow i got schooled. I'll choose the "pay me now" or whatever, the earlier the better, because lakeridge closes on the same weekend every year anyway, and Never stays open past march break.

look at lakeridge
