Lake Tahoe ski trip

Hello NSers from California,

I'm looking to do a trip to lake Tahoe this winter at the end of February, beginning of March. I want to know if the mountains of the region are relatively close and with ones are must do.

just look at any other thread in the california regionals, the debate of north lake vs. south lake rages constantly. but i'll sum it up for you, if you want banger mountains with nothing to do at night except spank it, go to the north lake, if you want decent mountains and epic night life go south lake.
