Lack of snow

so tomorrow is the start of February, and my home mountain has gotten a total of maybe 4 inches of non man-made snow....to say the least, this winter fucking blows.

yup, downtown showdown in Portland, Maine was cancelled due to lack of snow. Fucking pissed.

my city is 12.9 inches below average, and what little snow we had is melting off now because its been 40 and sunny the past 2 days FML

I didn't think it was that bad everywhere.. My mountain doesn't make snow ever, and we have a 40 inch base. We started out really bad, but its good now.

The area I live in has recorded a total snowfall of about 25-30 cm.(10-12 inches) And forecasters call for 'spring-like" weather until spring... WTF..

I havnt had snow at my house all winter.

Buuuuut on the other hand, this has been the best winter for skateboarding in a long time. Glass half full guys, glass half full.

OP where do you live? Im in Michigan and i feel ya here. the lows for this entire week has been 39 at the lowest. Fuck this.

freshman im guessing? had one two years ago, was shocked when they didn't close last year when it was -11. but hell yeah man, go hit some rails today

-11 is nothing dude.

and in MN we haven't gotten shit for snow...i dont think we have even passed a foot total...and I believe we only dropped below 0 twice...which is insane.

we are only at 108 inches (at the base) for the season. :(

I cant imagine what it would be like to be somewhere on the east coast.

I know it sounds like a lot... but Sierra's are gnarly and need a lot more of a base than most of CO and what not. Mammoth is having a sad season, so stoked on the snow making though. Thankful for that.

its like 45 degrees and sunny in montana at the moment and it sucks but im just glad that the mountains have snow! Idk what I would do with a ski less winter

My mountain has a base of 12-24 right now. Im wearing shorts outside throwing the football. Its 60.

FML

im headin up to Killington in a few weeks hopefully it will be better up there

58 degrees in seattle. we have a lot of snow but that won't last long with this kind of weather.

but i blew out my knee last week so i'm not really minding the fact that I'm not missing out on any pow...yet, anyway.

2 days ago it was 69 degrees. And the most snow we have gotten in Kansas City was a dusting the first week in December.

this winter sucks donkey dick, my home mountain has completely man made base, and you have to struggle to find a single snowbank in my town.. this is fucking bullshit

I've heard this has been the driest year on record in SLC, Utah. Not sure if that's true but it sure feels like it :(
