i just find it funny that they are targeting the comp scene and are completely dismissing the fact that corps dictate everything about skiing these days. why do we need these companies like nike, under armour in skiing? same thing is happening to skateboarding, especially the competitions. skiing will be ran by people who dont ski or have any interest in skiing other than for the money. thats a problem, i think.
 
youre kinda contradicting yourself, since Ahmet rides for UA wouldnt that mean they have some kind of interest outside of the comp scene...

Why are these dudes so fucking intense with the whole "anti-Olympic" shit? Do they really think that the Olympics is going to take over our sport and completely destroy it? I think they're thinking a little too far into this and by putting a public service announcement at the beginning of a movie like that just goes to show how much their panties are in a bunch.

It's skiing, not some wall street company. Skiing will always have it's different aspects to it and there will always be the free, unique aspect as well as the competitive aspect. So what if it's going to the Olympics? If it doesn't affect what you are doing as a crew, then why do you keep freaking out about it? I think that these fools will realize in a few years, when the Olympics doesn't come in to rape, destroy, and pillage our sport, that it's really not that big of a deal.

I think this whole thing is just to get a little more attention and to "stir the pot", as the most intelligent Tanner Hall says. Never a good thing.
 
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. But yours is retarded. This edit is putting on display a genre of skiing being almost entirely dismissed by the current direction free skiing is heading in due to the exposure of it being added to the Olympic Games. These skiers are simply trying to avoid what essentially ruined snowboarding (according to the way they see it). Personally, I happen to agree with the message of this edit. I happen to enjoy watching a ridiculously styled out 180 in the park or backcountry over a futurespin 1840, which was only possible because the kicker closely resembles an aerials kicker. Keep up the banger edit LaFa. I support your efforts.
 
Like I said, you guys are freaking out with the whole "Olympics are ruining everything!! I want Tanner Hall and Phil Casabon doing butters and hitting rails all day!! WAHHH!!"

Wrap yourself up in your tall tee, go sit in the corner, cry a little more, and wait it out. Skiing's gonna be just fine.
