La Clase de Español

Any advice on how to get better at Spanish? I’m at the level where I can hold up a conversation with shitty grammar but in order for me to pass my class i need to get better at grammar especially. How do I do this shit

Do everything in Spanish. Switch your phone settings, listen to Spanish radio, watch Spanish TV/movies. speak to Spanish speakers. Completely immerse yourself in it.

Try Duolingo or a similar language learning app.

I took all 4 years of it in HS. It was my favorite class besides art and science classes. I never used it again until I had a chance to go to Mexico. Being in the language and culture for a few days it all came back to me.

This is good advice. I watch all my favorite shows in Spanish and it helps

Honestly it depends on necessity, i speak castellano spanish from Argentina and in order to get better grammar and sentences i watched movies and series as they will give you the best time to amount of speaking probably, plus you’ll catch on to accents and pronunciation too, to get your tongue to work in the way you need to i would recommend music, try to keep up, jump around types and artists, that should help out.

I recommend watching 9 queens (argentinian version please) , Tiempo de Valientes or Time for the braves (also great Argentinian movie), and listen to Rock Nacional Argentino playlist on spotify. Those are my favorites but take your picks and find your own taste

Go to your university's tutoring center and see if they offer Spanish tutors and do your homework with them. Reading Aloud and having someone give feedback on pronunciation can help.
