the thread about the new bon iver album inspired this thread

if you havent heard of la blogotheque, its a french website that films performers doing "take away shows", basically just live performances of their songs on the street and in hotels and public places. it is pretty much the coolest thing ever if you are into these styles of music

here are my all-time favorites. hopefully this inspires people to look up some shows

 
pretty cool to think that not all people act like they're too good, or too big for normal people on the street like some famous people do
 
yes! this is a perfect example. right after phoenix made it big they went and did this. i think it would be so cool to see this kind of thing happening.

 
weird, im on that site alot. currently on it then i saw this thread.

what you were saying about how these artist dont feel better than normal people is very true. it shows they love the music more than they love the money.

 
The Beirut "Nantes" takeaway is fucking awesome, I can never stop watching it. Check out the Kooks "ooh la" one, just as sick!!!
