Kye Petersen on 4frnt

They talked about how his new ski would be a cross between the YLE and the Hoji.... Sounds freaking perfect
 
Saw him rippin around whistler on em with a white pro type top sheet lasted year ...looked like a crj with more side cut
 
This year was the last run of the CRJ if I'm not mistaken, most likely to fit this ski into the mix.
 
Those were Rossi protos from their new line that is out now..

I think these could be the first protos for the KYE?

Really stoked for Kye and 4FRNT! Did not see this coming, but this is really cool for both!
 
Exciting news for 4FRNT, will be interesting to see what his pro model ends up looking like. 4FRNT will have the following for big mtn/powder/touring in 2014-15:

Renegade - 122 waist big mountain power slayer

Hoji - 112 waist all around powder/touring

Raven - smaller/lighter than Hoji focused on touring (guessing 100-105 waist? maybe carbon layup?)

KYE - ???

YLE - symmetrical powder jib ski

Destroyer - 108 waist all mountain

Cody - 102 waist all mountain

CRJ - retired?

Solid ass lineup.

Maybe those are the ones in the pics I posted then?

In the powdermag interview they say his pro model will be out in the 15/16 season..

So maybe some models will go at that time?
 
Ahh no they weren't I was on chainsaw ridge and I saw the base they were 4 frnts it was him and hoji together ripping....I know what I saw bud
 
Funny how 4frnt evolved into such a freeride oriented company. I remember when the MSP 187 was their "big mountain" ski.
 
Those were not Rossi protos...just a rossi sticker on the topsheet since he was still riding for them. That topsheet is from another ski in the line, and that ski being pressed is a sample of another ski for 14/15....His ski is going to be fiiiiyaaaaah
 
IS that graphic from the Raven? The sea lion one, it looks badass. Definitely thinking about that ski for a touring rig... anything Hoji touches is magic.

Kye is one of the best in the game, awesome addition to 4FRNT.
 
I can't say too much, but if you do a little detective work on teton gravity's tech talk forum, 4frnt's instagram, and hoj's instagram, you will figure out the walrus graphic, and get a little preview of the raven. Kye may be one of the nicest dudes around, stoked on his skiing, and just a good all around person in general.
 
Interesting. He was kind of a dick to me when I met him in 2005. That was a long time ago though, and I think he was probably a bit ego-fueled by being such a young pro. Reguardless of my impression being a realistic one or not, he'll be a great addition to their company.
