Ok.....I know of a really sweet road gap at the U of Waterloo if weather co-operates. The problem is that a tow-in is needed.

The tow in would have to be on a football field kind of thing, so probably snowmobile would work best. Maybe a jeep or something would work too, but I'm sure you'd get in shit if you tore up the field.

I don't suppose anyone out there has a snowmobile they can use? :)

Yup, that's the one. I'm not sure if you could tow from the road...but that might work. I'd have to take a closer look.

I had envisioned jumping from further away from the road....somewhere between the road and the parking lot.

That would be a nice gap for sure... The tow in from the road would definately not work, I'm thinking snowmobile from the field? Maybe a 4by4 would work alright.

You'd have to wait for a storm when nobody is around... it'd be tight for sure though.

I agree - you'd have to wait for the pefect conditions and stuff. It's not like we'd want to hit it all the timet hough - all you need is a few hours on that one perfect day and you'd have some incredible footage.

yeah man I live in the loo... I have a friend that has a pick-up, he'd probably be up to it, I don't no if it's a 4by4 though.

It's gonna be a long while before we get enough snow, it takes a while for snow to build up on the landing, cause it's pretty steep.

 
not possible man. power lines. they are everwhere. i was out on my bike today checking it out. if it is across columbia, powerlines in the middle. if it is that dirt road that used to go to the university golf course, there are power lines and also it would have to be a snowmobile for that filed.

if it is somewhere else tell me, kuz i wanna check it out

 
that sucks... yeah the pick-up truck idea wouldn't work to well at all, it'd get stuck in the deep stuff for sure.

oh well, there are still a tonne of sick rails around to hit up, that should keep us busy.

 
We could hit it up today, we wouldn't need a tow-in, just use the wind to give us speed!

My neighbors 30 foot tree just fell down, landed right across the road.

I'm pretty sure I know a guy with one.

He snowboards so he might be chill with the idea, but then again maybe not, I'll check tomorrow.

It's a pretty sketch idea, so I'm doubtful that it's gonna go down.

 
the hydro lines are a bitch. i was leaning at 40 degrees today into the wind on my way to work (subway on king st by adventure guide) it was crazy quick. we had no power all day.

 
It's somewhat sketchy, yeah....

That's why, if we were able to pull it off, it'd probably only happen once, and everything would have to be just right.

But like I said, if that happened, the footage would probably be incredible. It only takes one day.

We could gap a car and use it as a get-away afterwards.

Your right, we definately couldn't session it for an entire day or anything, but it would make for a pretty sweet shot... and we could tape the police chase that would follow it too! haha, hopefully not.

 
Well, I guess the good thing about it being University property is that I would guess that the 'Unversity police' would kick you off.

I would think that real police wouldn't be involved unless you refused to leave.

Yeah I guess that's true, but they are always around there driving up and down that road towards the farmhouse.

The one campus police guy is a fricken bastard, he chased me at like 80km/h down a lane and came a foot from hitting me. He had the police sunglasses on and his hat on backwards, and he started talking shit to me, so I made fun of the fact that he wasn't a real cop and how he probably flunked out of the police academy but tried to keep the image.

Anyways he tries telling me that he still has the right to ARREST me. I'm like, no way dude the only thing he could do is hold me until the cops come, and they'd probably just end up making jokes about when they used to beat him up at the academy.

The only reason I was a lil'bitch back at him cause he came so close to running me over.

Anyways the reason I tell you this is if we get caught in the act, someone else is going to have to do the sweet talkin!

I think the best thing to do would be to make the jump really early in the morning, and do the jumping first thing in the morning. Probably on a weekend would be best. I figure that would maximize the amount of time before getting caught.

And then when you get caught, you just say, 'oh, I'm sorry sir, I didn't know you would be against the idea of us launching ourselves 40 feet over the road. We'll leave now and we promise not to come back because we have all the footage we need anyway.' :D

lol... that'd be so funny it would make for good video (getting caught and all), I think he'd me mostly pissed because of the snowmobile.

oh yeah... I was just dickin around on my bike with some friends at the uni. I guess he could tell that I wasn't riding your sterotypical university transport vehicle bike.

I have some other good stories involving the campus police, but that was the only encounter, that they've been jackass' for no real reason.

 
the rent a cops busted me for pot once, and ciffed me and the whole deal. fucking wlu rent a cops, they are such bitches. they thought they were pretty tough, but i talked more shit that whats in the grand river!
