I live in PA and im a junior in high school but im going to college in vermont and i can drive to more places to ski that have pow and wanna get a ski for powder, trees, bigger mountain and such. right now i have line chronic cryptonites mounted with griffons -1 back from true center so i am gonna use them more as park skis and these new ones for legit skiing. I was looking as the k2 kung fujas, line sir francis bacon, and billy goats cus they all are around 108ish underfoot so they wont overwhelm me if it isnt a pow day but they will do work in trees and pow. also i heard good things about all these skis. and i'm 5'10", almost 17, and 155 pounds if this matters. which one should i get? im open to other suggestions too.

billy goats are 116 and are directional pin tail. Do you mean the jeffery? (108, far more jib oriented)

This years bacons are amazing. Jus go to your local shop and hold them. Pictures do it no justice and from what I'm hearing from friends it's magical.

no i meant billy goats. i jus heard super good stuff bout them so i through them in i knpw they are wider but heard good stuff ill gcheck up on the jeffreys

i ordered up some jeffrey's dude. ill let you know how they are when i get them (if it isnt too late)

jeffrey is a more playful ski as the BG's are more stable stiffer ski.

what he described was the BG for trees and charging. also the bacons are sick

yea im going to vermont twice this year so i wanna get them for those trips but i might wait till next year cus im just a junior but im going to vermont for college so i might wait till next year but idk

The bacons and jeffries seem like your best bet. But if you're primarily skiing east coast I'd go with something more like 100mm underfoot. They would be a lot more versatile for what your doing.

yes i thought about the blends but i already have chronic cryptos that are 92 under foot so i can use them if i am in a hardpack or park situation so i wanted to go a little wider

Makes sense. I just picked up a pair of bacons. Rode them a few weeks ago at alta and can say that they are the best ski I've ever been on.

Billy goats i've never ridden. But over the kung fuja and this years bacon, the bacon wins by a long shot! the k2s lack energy in turns and chatter on hard pack. This years bacons are soo play full, power through turns and don't chatter on hard pack! they make you want to charge constantly! by far the best ski i've skied on! hope that helps!

are there any other suggestions that fit what i am looking for that you guys recomend besides the SFB? (jus wondering cus everyone said that lol)

those r all crazy wide. im looking more around 108 ish anywhere in there. these r for like vermont not utah haha i figure 108 with rocker can get me through the deepest pow in vermont

Was looking at the Armada TST today, might be a great "east coast pow ski." 183 length - Rockered nose and traditional camber underfoot/tail.

The TST would be my daily driver @ Mammoth if I didn't already have the ARV, and I still might pull the trigger on a pair...

Seriously dude if everyone is saying the bacons are awesome there's probably a reason for that. Jus sayin. One example: I have a buddy that for one reason or another despises line. He demoed the new bacons this spring and immediately bought them as soon as they were available.

im riding strictly pa this year only on the bacons. i highly recommend, these skis, from what Ive heard are absolutely amazing. If you're looking to buy them, do it now because a month from now, itl'll be impossible to get your hands on them.

yea thanks the bacons were my first chioce all along i just wanted to see what other stuff was out there to compete but the bacons were always the top of my list
