Kung fujas or arv's

future

hi, just going through getting some new skis and am stuck between the armada arv and k2 kung fujas...i ski mainly pwder when the conditions are there but like to hit the park and have the odd piste hack. so can anyone give me some reviews? or a better ski for the job?

cheers

the ARV is awesome in pow, and also fares well in the park

the kung fujas is more for primarily pow and Ive heard theyre incredible, but I havent seen anyone with em on in the park

I just got a pair of ARVs this season, and they are the best pow skis I have owned to date!

I skied some 06/07 ARVs a couple seasons back and they are super fun, veryy soft and buttery... I haven't tried them on a pow day but on groomers they're damn fun. From what I remeber they don't hold an edge as well on crud & icy stuff @ high speeds but idk - I think they have stiffened them a little though with the newer models. From my experience I had a pretty good time on the ARVs & you prob will too.

I think the best advice I can give you is to go demo a pair (if you can), and try them on a shitty day / not a pow day - because then you know how they feel in crud / groomers / park and what not (because I'm sure they ski pretty welll in pow). Hope that helps ya meng, I gotta head to class now.

I have the '08 arv's and love them. They are a great 1 quiver ski, carving good on groomers, slaying pow, and killing it in the park.

but as you said, they are kinda soft so they aren't awesome for ice. I heard the newer ones are stiffer though so they might be better.

sweet thanks guys thats realy helpful, gona lookinto testing some out but i live in england and want them before i go away so cant try them in the crud :(

i have the k2 kung fujas. its a great ski, floats damn good in pow and awesome on jumps, lots of pop. i have not used them so much on rails, but its decent i guess. groomers works fine, as long as you are a good enough skier to keep the ski on the edge
