Knives on plane to be allowed on planes again

TSA has announced that they will once again, for the first time since 9/11, allow folding blades 6cm" and under back onto planes... this means no more mailing your pocketknives!

Other unbanned items: pool cues, lacrosse and hockey sticks, etc

Yeah theyre still going to screen for them but no blades are allowed that lock into place once folded out, which is pretty fair. I know Ill be bringing some sort of knife though cause you dont know who will be on your flight.

Shit. Fuckers snatched my avi shovel out of my pack on my return from SLC last month. Wish this had come a little sooner, but I guess that's a nice dose of common sense and it's better than none at all.

TSA is doing this to comply with international standards which allow blades under 2"long and less than 1" wide or something like that. When the pilots are locked in the cockpit, that really won't do much.

And this just goes to show how dumb the rules are, I mean fuck they're changing it back. I mean now anyone can hijack a plane because they have a small knife. Sure

I'm so fucking scared. I've always been more concerned with the screaming baby than the "omg some dude with a turban is going to take down my plane with a box cutter".

Also the whole "Please be on the lookout for suspicious activities. Report suspicious baggage or people, keep your bag with you at all times" message playing non stop to keep people in fear.

It's so fucking ridiculously unlikely that something is going to happen. I mean yes it happens, but to live in fear as if it happens everywhere the other day. You have a better chance of being shot in a bank robbery when you're cashing your check, and that's generally the last thing on my mind at the bank.

Bad shit happens but pretending that it happens all the time and at every second, you're one step away from getting blow up by some middle eastern dude is retarded. Government and their weakass scare tactics combined with ignorant racists = 'Murica fucking blows sometimes.
