Knitting or Crocheting???

Hey guys,im wanting to make some nice hats. Ive tried crocheting, and it seems really hard cuz i just cant get the hats to curve down pro[erly. Ive tried so many times.i want to try knitting but im not sure if its worth it. IS it harder? Ive also heard of something called a knifty knitter. Does that help?Thanks alot,K.R.

you need patience either way; as it stands, if your hats don't cure properly you're not doing a proper stitch

http://www.aokcorral.com/projects/how2oct2003.htmthis is how i learned to knit, they have the basic steps like casting on, binding off. also i learned howto knit and purl by watching videos on youtube. once you figure that out you can find a pattern on line by googling knit hat pattern and try some stuff out. i haven't yet figured out how to knit in the round yet as opposed to using two needles so that you dont have to sew up the back. but knittings stupid fun, and you can use thick needles to make thick knits which i prefer and it also takes very little time. gives me shit to do at work toohttp://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/hats.phpsome free hat patterns

I think i'm going to try knitting.do you use a loom (i think thats what its called. its like a round thing with things sticking up)?also,do you have a pattern for just a normal beanie without the complicated stiches. just like normal stiches?Thanks alot

i guess knitting is pretty hard but i have croched before and made hats. you just have to learn what stitch to do at what time to make it form a hat.
and the knifty knitter is like for 5 year olds. it makes legit dope hats and is so dam easy.
if you want something easy go with that

a guide comes with the knitty knifter to teach you. is is seriously like wrap a string around a peg and pull the other one over top

i used to use the kniffty knitter before i crocheted, my main problem with it was that it make very large wholes in your hats

use thicker yarn or multiple strands of a size 4 or something and the holes wont be there, and it looks alot better imo.
