Knee is out

I was hitting the park hard at highlands today and ended up taking a nasty spill. It's the first time ever that I've heard bones actually pop/break. My right knee. Ski patrol checked it and said "no breaks, but more than likely torn". They wrapped it for me and I am now chillin in the bar drinking my sorrows away. It hurts like fuck and this was only day 2 of a 4 day ski trip. I plan on icing it hard later today and maybe a hottub as well.

So if you made it through reading all of that....any advice on what to do besides the typical "stay off it"? It's more of a pain in the twist of the knee, not pressure, and the popping osmium the outside of it and low it seems.

Fuck*

Thanks! She's wrapped up good right now. Drinks have substituted skiing

You probably shouldn't be drinking right now, as it will make the swelling worse. Go get an MRI to be absolutely sure. Vibes dude

yeah get an MRI asap. I was recommended to wait on it and it was a whole year before I could start planning surgery and recovery, fucking stupid. Feel better brah

I'm all over this Monday. I hope to god this is a minor tear only man.

Damn dude, bummer. I loved reading your posts about age not holding you back from progressing in the park.

you will be back in no time. Kill that PT and come back even better next year

Same situation. had knee surgery for ocd on dec. 2 and still on crutches till the 24th. I would get it checked out by a doctor asap cuz knee injuries can be pretty serious. It's unlikely, but the popping could mean a little bit of cartilage or bone could have detached and is floating around your knee, and that can take several months to recover from. Good luck!

Alcohol thins your blood. And honestly, if he blew he acl, 1 or 2 extra days of swelling isnt gonna make a lick of difference.

I wrapped it up like crazy today and tested it out on some groomers. It's def a tear. On groomers it's ok because of a pressure thing but under stress of pow I cannot turn it. Decided to hang up the skis until after Monday's MRI. Hopefully good news and just a brace.

Thanks for saying you like my old posts haha! I'm still trying to kill it after this gets healed up.

Sitting at the orthos office waiting for my meeting with the 2nd knee specialist to discuss options. Today can be over at any time already.

Just make sure to get your new ligament from a cadaver. That way when the zombia apocalypse starts they wont eat your brains because you will be part zombie

After Day 50 of the season, my knee began to swell and really hurt on the outside of both knees. 2 days later it was good to go. Just yesterday, it began to hurt again

Go get it looked at right away. I just wrapped up PT session one. They are trying to build the rest of the knee up pre-op for a speedier recovery after the surgery. I could ski like this but can't go hard and would have to alter my entire lifestyle if I just dealt with it instead. It would mean no more football, baseball, running sports, aggressive skiing, etc... Knees are no joke and I need this to go through as smoothly as possible.

Seriously, go get it looked at.
