What do you guys think of kite skiing?

I think its going to be huge because you can do almost anything on it. You can shred Pow almost any day of the year because frozen lakes and fields don't get skied out. You can rip super fast, the speed record is now over 100 km/h, you can still jib rails, and hit jumps, and get crazy hang times and boost anywhere from 5 - almost 100 feet in the air whenever the fuck you feel like it, without the need of any type of snow park.

Not only all that, but you can drop almost any cliff. Kiteboarders have launched off air craft carriers, and watch this guy jump out of a hot air balloon with one...

I tried it out last winter and it was one of the scariest things I've ever done when you have no fuckin clue what your doing and getting lifted up in the air and hang up there for awhile and I'm hoping on doing a lot more this winter.

And best of all you don't even need a mountain, or to pay for a lift ticket

Depends where you live. There is a huge community growing now and the kites keep getting safer every year. We have private lake surrounded by rolling farmland near us. The landowner also kites so we build up a huge park on the lake and the hills every winter. I only go to the ski hill on powder days when there isn't any wind.

I can squeeze in a quick session every night after work if I want.
 
wow, just think that its not just flatland fun like kiteboarding on water is. the kite can pull you up a moderately steep hill, then you bomb down. too bad the kites are so damn expensive. oh, and I'll paypal 10 dollars to the first glades kite skiing edit I see. shit could be so intense
