Anyone here planning on entering the IFSA Big Mountain comp at Kirkwood April 2 - 5? I was up scouting lines for the qualifying day yesterday, and it looked like there were a few others doin the same. Hopefully we can get some more snow before then....some of the hucks had very minimal coverage on the takeoffs.

was on my schedule earlier this year, but not any more...sucks about the coverage, should make for some sick lines, though.

I've been thinking about it, but I don't know much about the comp or what the lines looks like. Im assuming its going to be almost entirely tech lines because come april 2, there shouldn't be much cliff hucking. Also what kind of competition is it going to be because If I roll there and I'm the only one who isn't completely sponsored Im gonna be pissed.

Damn just go, it should be a blast. There's definitely going to be a bunch of everyday skier's just trying to qualify and have fun (I'd be one of them). Everyone I talked to who's done these things says the same thing -- they're super fun and its a great way to learn a lot about your skiing, push it a little, step it up a level, and progress.

There's still a ton of time before the comp. to practice lines. You don't know if ya don't go.

i went to the CFC in Whistler...holy shit! people go nuts at these fuckers...my homie JD Thompson should be down there though, he was throwing backs off a pretty good drop last year and wouldn't expect less this year.

Scounting lines involves one buying a ticket at kirkwood and two driving two hours down there. So there is most of the dilmena, I've never skiied kirkwood I don't know what the lines are like

The lines are sick and the possibilities to go huge are endless. The snow could be better, but it should be a good time nonetheless. I was scouting lines yesterday and today and the cirque looks sick. I'll be there for sure.

Omen: Was that you on the side of 88 near Caples Lake with a camera pointed towards Round Top...at the Crescent Coulior maybe (I think that's what its called). I'm guessing the big 'O' on the rear windshield and 'Omen Productions' above it means it was you or your crew ;)

Yeah the lines in Cirque are absolute sickness....while hiking up Lookout Vista (site of qualifiers) on Saturday I saw a TON of tracks all over the Cirque. Bastardos.

Can you post pictures on this board? If so, I can post some pics of the venuw for VC to see.

Shoe,

That was me shooting some big mnt lines at Kirkwood BC. The snow was actually pretty dam good. There are too many trees to get a real clean shot, but we got some decent footage. Keep your eyes out during the extremes and be sure to say hi if you see me. -

Cool, I'll keep an eye for you at the comp. If you see a guy competing with a Black Giro full-face with powdermag stickers on it and AK No Ka Oi skis say whazzup 'cause that'll be me.

Kirkwood BC footage eh? Cool rock on. There's tons of good stuff there. Alot just off the lifts too....California Chute, Pipeline, West Shore...and of course, Thunder Bowl. :)
