A Slopestyle comp is in the works for Feb 11 at OSC (kirby) no specs. yet, stay tuned...hound JESS...I did my part.

there should be some good options for lines...2 rails to 2 jumps to 2 rails, a line of 7 rails, 3 rails to the big jump to 2 rails...you get the picture...

It would be SUPER gay if it was at night, skiing in the day is WAY better, and its a saturday so tahts perfect. And for anyone whosgoing to ase, yes kirbys park is good, there big jump isint as big as dag or lakes ( but its nice) and all of the features are jump on and set up VERY well. Its proabbly worth checking out, i no that i will be going

i would say do weekend, how ever im working, and seeing as how there is like like i think 5 or 6 of us that are instructors at lakeridge that want to come it could be an issue. but what ever

yeh man i do agree with it being on a weeknight but then again i can go either way...

but for the sake of a better turn out and a better comp all together i would say try and work it out for a weeknight becasue of instructing issues for thosse who have tehre level 1.( a good # of people could attend if it were on a week day instead because of again, programs stopping them for being able to attend)

i dont like riding park in the dark, its to hard, i would like it to be a weekend, but tahts shitty fo rall the workers, but i would rather have it on a weekend

change of date?

weeknight is the only way to go. how many riders were there at the comp last year? like 15? i know there was 13 at the scotties one i believe.

and if your guaranteeded i reounted NINE (9) of those 15 wont come you will have 6 plus obv so other people.

You will still do ok but a week night will grant you a better turn out, illustrating a way better comp.

i stated earlier it was instructors from lakeridge (as well as a few at dag) that have programs running, and so far i have a count of 9 going. ANd i guarantee that everyone of them including myself wants to go. Hense a night jam would result in a better comp

I will have more information soon enough. And as much as I would love to have as many NS'ers at this comp, in all reality I won't change things to fit your schedule. We do our comps on the weekend, foremost, because it works best for the kids who ride there all the time....not for the person who is gonna show up for one day. Our comps are more to show appreciation to the kids who ride our park day in and day out... Besides, you have almost 3 weeks...ask for the time off now. It's gonna be a good time.

^I'm not sure...definitely way more than last year. We have this 8yr old who's stompin' crossed up 7's off the big table..., then there is Dave and Cam who are killin' it...

on another note, it is also a snowboard comp...and we have a lot of snowboarders to think about as well.

im going to be embarassed by that 8 year old

was he the kid that won the 720's last year?

that little punk!

i love the little kids that can just sack up and go for it

he was landings threes off the little kicker they made between the box and rail at the open house

Garett the 8 year old kid is awesome, i love riding with him, and there are a good number of poeple on twin tips who ride at kirby. there just not all there at the same time obviously. and you guys should look at getting time off if thats possible because kirby keeps there park VERY well maintained, and im sure it is gonna be a really fun day.

haha the word on my street. anyways you guys have fun that are going and be greatful im not there to take first away from all your hopes and dreams. haha justttttttttttttt kidding. but im jealous i wanna go.

thats why they wouldnt do that.

oh p.s. is this i forget his name, gordin? grodo? the 8 year old kid.. is he the guy that won the salomons at the comp last year? i saw the skis today at lakeridge and was like :O hes ridding someone good, maybe he realised its better here then at kirby.

haha just kidding(about whats better, i did see him), but was it him? (dig snow camo pants, grey i think protec helmet?)

I was at Kirby today, those jumps are pretty mint for a slopestyle im looking forward to it, you guys should also do something with that 50 foot rail cause no one (inlcuding myself) had the balls to even try it.

I saw a group of 4 skiers who were throwing pretty good on the jumps but I never saw any of them try that rail and I was in the park all day....I sat at the top and bottom for a while watching some good boarders also who were killing it, one boarder was throwing rodeo 5's and I think I saw a rodeo 7

Yes he did. 90% of the posting in here are the lakeridge guys crying about not being able to go to another hills comp that you dont even ride at and trying to get them to switch the date of the comp to accomidate your times.

so i think some of us instructors can get it off, if we do were repping in our lakeridge coats, represent mutha fuckaz!
