'Crystal Mountain resort was the only Cascade ski area open Tuesday and by mid-afternoon, only 30 lift tickets had been sold.'

'It's a little early to tell yet how the season will go, but when you lose four weeks straight off the bat, it's not good for your confidence level,' said John Pretty, a spokesman for Summit at snoqualmie.
