The skis aren't very similar to one another so it should be easier to figure out which type you're leaning more towards. They both have a little extra width underfoot so you can rip them around the mountain more, the main difference is the flex, the blends as you've probably heard are very soft and playful which means more pressing, buttering etc but also less stability when you land off balance on bigger jumps or are riding rougher terrain. The Chronics are kind of the opposite within that all mountain/park ski class, you can't really butter them as well but you they won't flex out on you on bigger jump landings or in varied terrain/chunder. Since you mentioned loving butters and also having caddy's which are a more standard park ski (slightly stiffer) and since it looks like maybe welch village is your home mountain? I'd vote blend. I'm 180 lbs and I've hit really big jumps on them fine and also skied super deep powder at brighton for half a season on them and was never bummed, That said the chronic is my favorite ski because I like being able to charge steep chunder and throw my weight around with a rigid feel underfoot, hit big jumps, I weigh quite a bit, and I don't find myself buttering around too much. Hope that helps!
