Kimbo slice

Fuck that shit man, kimbo almost knocked him out twice and fatty won with these weak ass punches. WTF!

hah!
big country (kimbo's opponent) was FAR more of a disapointment then kimbo. everyone knows hes a stand up fighter, and hes working really hard on his ground game and wrestling. Big country talks so much shit, is a FAT FUCK and did absolutely nothing to impress me in his "win" over kimbo

what would you do if a 264 fat ass was lying on you , and lets be reasonable he was punching his head about as hard as hitting your pillow when u pass out

At least give him some credit for making an effort...

I think its pretty obvious he was put into the spotlight way too early just because someone can brawl does not in any way mean the can be an mma fighter and that's what kimbo is going through. He will eventually get better hes just gotta work on his ground game and level out his skill, he has only had 1 year of experience fatass country has had 10. That being said im still dissapointed after a year you would think he would have done better it seems like he could have avoided the last take down.

You mean to tell me, you weren't disappointed after the TKO Seth Petruzelli gave him? I had some hope for him before the Petruzelli fight. After that, I lost all hope.

kimbo can't fight and has a glass chin when someone who knows how to hit, connects. dude went into this for the soul reason of having a big ego and defending it as some kind of urban hurcules. im glad he lost so that dana will never let him into the UFC. just leave kimbo, before you get your ass beat too many times.

haha true, kimbo slice is a backyard boxer and a street alley thug. he doesnt have any other skills then raw muscle and brutal fists, as soon as this red haired homo put him down he was stuck in the butt secks posotion taking hits like no other.

but he's scary as fuck!

I like what Hendo said a couple years ago when Kimbo first came to fame on the interwebz

"Too bad Pride wasn't still around... then Sakuraba, me, Wandy, Rampage, and Cro Cop could all destroy him in every Grand Prix."

I never said I wasn't disappointed when that faggot Petruzelli beat him

in 14 seconds by tko that's shit clearly back then kimbo sucked dick

but thats not my point. Im saying hes making an effort, give it time.

And hes going nowhere Dana will keep him as long as possible for the

monayy.

The Rampage of PRIDE FC, definetly could. The newer older Rampage. I don't know.

Looking at it, Sakuraba definetly could cause Sakuraba even though he is a middleweight spent his career fighting bigger dudes in those open weight fights of Pride and is a catch wrestler. Kimbo sucks on the ground. He HAS no ground skill.

you dont know dana white. he loves a good fight, but he doesn't want the UFC turning into a sideshow even if for better ratings. if kimbo doesnt cut it, which he doesnt, hes gone. and thank god for that.

If Kimbo had any semblance of a ground game, he probably would have been a lot better off, although having a 270 pound BJJ black belt on top of you like that is certainly not an easy thing to escape from. Do keep in mind that Roy Nelson tooled Frank Mir 15-2 or something like that in a BJJ competition, so he's definitely no slouch on the ground.

That being said, I'm pretty sure Kimbo will be back, and might even somehow find his way into the finals. But it all comes down to the matchup. If he gets a striker, he'll probalby do pretty well, but a wrestler/bjj artist is bad news.

Ken Shamrock made an effort 3 times against Tito Ortiz... we all saw how that turned out. We saw Rich Franklin (one of my favorites) make an effort twice against Anderson Silva. We saw Andrei Arlovski make an effort 3 times against Tim Sylvia and he only came out on top once.

Kimbo is so old for an athlete now and so ingrained in his ways as a brawler I don't see him developing into much past what he is right now.

Kimbo is on the card for the TUF Finale but I think that will be his last chance in the UFC as long as Dana White is president. Dana loves the money, and bringing in controversial guys like Brock and shit to get money, but he has said many times he looks at what boxing did and is trying his best to not turn it into the shitshow that boxing is now. Kimbo is one of those guys that will turn the UFC into a total shitshow that Dana White is trying to avoid. It's part of the reason Sean Sherk and James Irvin are on such short leashes and aren't getting big fights cause they both have been nailed for banned substances (some sort of steroid).

I can't find the other link but they said he's on the card for the Dec. 8 pay-per view.

He's a humble guy, looks like he works very hard and wants to learn. I hope his UFC career takes a turn for the better. The guy doesn't deserve half of the bad rap he gets, he never said he was the best, people just built him up to be that way and now when he loses they want to claim they knew all along he was bad etc etc.

This

From all that I've seen on The Ultimate Fighter, Kimbo seemed really humble and tenacious. He was constantly talking about wanting to learn and improve as a fighter. Obviously the fight didn't go his way last night, however had the matchup been different who knows what would of happened. As soon as he was taken down it was over. Kimbo's ground game was not on par with his opponent's and the 30 lbs. weight difference didn't help.

Ultimately, I think Kimbo seems like an ok dude and a fiercesome brawler. With some experience and some technical work ... who knows? Don't be so quick to pass judgement on the guy. Lets watch and see how it all turns out.

I'm still rooting for you, go Kimbo Slice.

it was a lame fight but big country played it smart.

people are hating on him for his "weak punches" when he had Kimbo pinned, but Roy was scoring points with every hit... his experience really showed there. For Kimbo to get caught in almost the exact same position in BOTH rounds really showed Kimbo's inexperience.

he even talked about that earlier in the show. It doesn't matter how hard you punch the opponent, as long as you're connecting. Granted, It looked extremely lame, but it worked in his favor.
"I want a double cheeseburger! NO pickles"

i thought he did pretty well against a guy who has had so much experience def an intimidating guy go to up against kimbo but he had some good punches in there once he works on his ground game in a few years hes gunna be good

He has the ground game and guard capabilities of fucking Huston Alexander. It is truly lame. My roommate as soon as Kimbo got taken down and put in the crucifix the first time was yelling "STAND EM UP STAND EM UP!!!" Yeah, he knows nothing about MMA and how really, unless neither person is doing nothing on the ground the ref won't stand them up.

yeah but even dana was like dude fuck off you made a bunch of weak ass hits on his head, dont act like you just shocked the world. i was not impressed at all, if kimbo had flipped him that one time off the cage it would have gone the other way. no one is going to get that fat ass off of him. and did anyone watch last weeks with shivers? that was the laziest fight ive ever seen they were both standing there breathing heavy for the entire time.

They have always been boring as fuck in the UFC and in Boxing. In Pride it was nuts though cause you had guys like Fedor, Nog (in his prime), Cro Cop (in his prime) fighting and then had guys like Wandy, Sakuraba, and Hendo fighting heavyweights.

Have you even watched UF? Kimbo in no way wants to fight for his "ego". Ultimate Fighter just reinforced the notion that he's a very likable dude that just wants to be a fighter, and eager to learn as much as he can, while still being humble about it. He's already stated that his backyard brawling is nowhere close to MMA. Dana and all the other fighters were skeptical too on the first episode, but now they have gotten along with him easily.
Kimbo's got potential, he just needs the proper training and more experience. His first matchup was still premature and kind of shitty after putting an inexperienced rookie up against a dude thats bigger and more experienced.
That being said, lay the fuck off Kimbo's back.

yeah this man.
he doesnt care about his rep he doesnt claim to be awesome hes just trying to make a living and get better.

kimbo is a good fighter and only getting better with his wrestling, he trains with one of the best coaches in mma (boss rooten dont know if thats how you spell it) but i would put money on it that kimbo will be back and he will be in the ufc!

Kimbo hasn't trained with Bas for over a year now, ever since he lost in EliteXC. He's supposed training at American Top Team now.

I think Greg Jacckson's gym would be better. Rashad, GSP, and Jardine just to name a few for training partners plus to get into American Top Team you have to have either a EXCELLENT Muay Thai background or a BJJ Black Belt AND be Brazilian.
