Killington upgrade

All of you guys need to stop bitching about the pass pricing.

It was a longtime coming.

Part of ASC's massive downfall financially came from the fact that they were offering the All-East pass for such a cheap price.

This made it more economical for weekend warriors to purchase a seasons pass to ski a few times a year, than it did to buy individual lift tickets.

Resorts aren't making their money off season pass holders. They make their money off of the people coming to buy individual passes.

Hell, here in Western New York, we have basically 2 options for skiing. One place is small, slow lifts, no entertaining terrain, and a mediocre park. It is $350 for a seasons pass. The other option is $700 for an all-around seasons pass. It is larger, more terrain, and a mediocre park. One is a hill, the other is a resort.

The amount of skiing you guys in the Northeast were getting for $350 was crazy cheap, and you should be grateful you got that for a few years. Factor in inflation, and cost of resources such as electricity, and it is no wonder Killington was losing money like crazy, and couldn't afford to make enough snow to get back to their spot as the longest season in the east.

If Killington can get back to a season running well into May, and starting earlier, and can make improvements, it will be more than worth the price.
