Killington is setting themselves up for a good early season

Not sure if it's worth much, but Killington was testing their air lines of the snowmaking system up on the mountain today.

I'd imagine they will fire up the guns at the first below freezing stretch. Nothing in the 7-day with a window really. It's up to mother nature now.
 
Just thought I'd update...

Walkway is getting its finishing touches. Plenty of snow on the ground from the storm the other day, and wait for it...

...Snowmaking began last night. They are blowing from the top of K1 down Great Northern into the Northridge triple area.

We're getting close!

I still need to get my ski's mounted or else I'll be riding on hellbents early season lolol

Wouldn't get too ahead of ourselves though. No plans on opening quite yet but the time is just around the corner now.

I'll keep posted on anything I hear.
 
mind you that forecast is not for the top of the mountain, thats the base. there should be low enough temperatures for snowmaking higher up pretty much every night
 
Those forecasts are typically for the town center which is all the way down at around 1200' elevation. Massive difference in temperatures this time of year.
