Killer Whale kills again

These things routinely kill Sperm Whales. They are the greatest hunters on the planet. RIP to the trainer. But seriously although these animals can be trained they are viscous mother fuckers. They will attack seals and take them out to deep water still alive then throw them in the air and fuck with them until they die.

Not to sound like a filthy hippy, but I'm pretty sure the whale didn't deserve to be exploited by a bunch of soulless humans. Theme parks that use captive animals for entertainment are fucked, which is why I have zero sympathy.
 
Spare us the bleeding heart shit dood. If you see a kid fucking with a dog and he gets bit your like "serves him right". That whale has a family too. Or to be correct that Orca has a pod.

It sucks that someone died but if you play with fire you are going to get burned. It's not like she was walking on the beach and it attacked her. I feel bad for the people who had to watch that shit, scary animal should never be put in a tank.
 
yeah, exactly why i said it's a killer whale, it kills things. this was eventually gonna happen if you cage a wild carnivore. Am i surprised and heartbroken that this happened? no. Shit happens. Is it funny to say, "fuck yeah whale, you get that dumb bitch!"? No. That was the point i was trying to get at.
 
The point I was trying to make is that this wasn't a matter of pure chance. In this case, shit didn't "just happen;" a wild animal did its thing. If I were a captive whale, I would've done the same.

This is just like the circus elephant in Honolulu that escaped in 1994. It killed its trainer, and took off into the streets in an angry rampage. Anybody who thinks the elephant didn't have every right to do that is delusional. The same applies to the whale.

My dad heard about this and comes to me asking me to find a video of it happening on the Internet.. With all those people at the show that shits bound to hit YouTube.

I dont believe this. I did a quick google search and the first 5 articles talked about studying echolocation with whales/porpoises in captivity.
 
after my quick google search I found that the chemicals and confined area either make the sound waves bounce back much too soon and loud and make the animals go deaf, or it is too dense and muffles the sound to the point that they can't locate it back and renders it useless.It is up to a matter of people fighting for or against it, but out of the many people I have talked to they all say it ruins their echolocation. People being, my sister is a marine biology major and works at an aquarium, so her and I have talked to many of the marine biologists at the aquarium behind the scenes. Also, I have a friend who is a biology grad student and says the same thing.So, it just comes down to the people who you believe and talk to I guess.
 
Word, im no expert but i just doubt that the molecules in the water have that big of an effect on echolocation. Id agree that echolocations useless given the size of the cage and makes them go deaf and such. But saying that chemicals in the water have an affect on echolocation just seems like an environmentalist claim. That would mean in the wild the animals would be significantly affected by things like algae blooms, sediments, and dissolved particles in the water. Im sure these have an effect but i dont think it would be that significant or solely render their echolocation systems useless.

im not hatin or anything just my non scientific thoughts on the matter
 
They're going to euthanize the whale!!! What the fuck, they take a wild animal into captivity, a killer whale, and when it KILLS someone they euthanize it? With logic like this, we're fucked.
 
Yeah I am very against this. I just read the other day that a bear was hunted down and shot because it got into someone's garbage and ended up eating their bunny that they keep OUTSIDE. I think the owners of the rabbit should have been punished not the bear. They basically left a platter out for the bear and said, it can't escape, here ya go. If you live where bears live, don't keep animals outside unsupervised. Common sense.But, I have ranted on the whale being euthanized above lol. Just another rant.
 
if you read the whole article it says this whale killed a guy before. a guy who hid in the park till it closed then jumped in the tank with the whale. man this whale owns people.
 
I read the whole thing too...But lets recap. It freaked out and killed a trainer and killed a RETARD who decided to swim with a KILLER whale unsupervised. It also said it he died of hypothermia and the whale just thought he/his swimwear was a toy. All in all the whale is +1 in my book. Even for the trainer, because yeah its unfortunate and sad, don't keep whales captive, and the +1 for ridding this earth of a stupid person. Give this whale some fish bonus or something
 
to be honest, i dont kno too much about this whole thing, but what i know is that she drowned. DROWNED. i think that if a 6 ton killer whale wants to kill you they have to get your remainders out of the pool with a fucking sieve.
