Kill the mobile site

That shit sucks, it has a poor layout, does not let you type paragraphs, and half the time stalls out.

It used to not bother me, but now my phone will automatically go to it. Using the full site is not hard. Can you just get rid of that crap?
 
HUGE fucking mistake to even ever make that thing.

Sadly Forums aren't going to be changed immediately. You're still suck with that one for a bit longer... I'll make sure that Paul makes you easily able to see the full site.

Forums are next on deck for mobile though.

Mobile site is the WORST.
 
Fuck that, overall I love the mobile site. Posting can be a hassle, but if its a long post I sometimes copy and paste from notes, but that's still easier than navigating the full site IMO.

most annoying thing is when you type out a huge post and then click post, and it doesn't load, doesn't do anything, so fucking annoying cause it always happens again and again, learnt to copy my post each time I post on mobile now though.
 
Damn, and I thought I was the only one that hates the mobile site. Was there something that recently changed regarding the mobile vs. full site viewing on phones? I have only noticed issues starting this week.

The most frustrating thing in my mind is being on the full site and clicking say page 100 of a 100 page thread and it taking me to page 1 of the mobile version of said thread. Then having to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to even get to the next page.

Glad someone brought up their hate for the mobile site, because I surely would have by week's end.

Yeah sorry, it was a bad decision in the first place to build a mobile site, instead of building an adaptive skin for the normal pages. Huge fail on our part.

What you saw this week was the start of us re-factoring the back end to support the new method. I will admit its going to be a tad buggy for a while as we clean up this fucking mess.

At first I thought I was going crazy because I had never encountered those issues before this week. Glad to know I'm not alone and that the problems are being worked out.

I like the mobile site. I'm on it more than the full site. One thing that I wish was on the mobile site was the ability to view message exchanges easier when you get a PM. For example, be able to click on the persons name while reading the pm or something. Just my opinion.
 
Wow I also had no idea that more people had this problem. I usually scroll down and click full site, but then I click on something and it randomly switches back to mobile? What's up with that?
 
Ever since the updates, I've been getting this every time I go to "my threads".

It's solved by refreshing the page, but it's just pretty lousy. Seeing as I'm pretty sure the updates are over(?)

It seems like the quoting and replying issues have gotten better though.
 
It's dope now. Why would you want to use the full site? Besides a couple features like creating threads and being able to see previous messages, I think the mobile site is sweet.
 
The forums are yet to get a really big overhaul.

We'll add in the ability to go back to full site.
 
You can still visit the full site via the mobile site if your scroll down to the very bottom and click on: (Version 4.0.0)
 
Ya mobile sucks you can't post threads or check feedback I hate it! I can't even go to te normal site on my iphone anymore it won't let me wtf!?
 
Could be bugs. Again, the forums didn't get much, and are part of some super legacy code. We will re-build them to be super duper mobile friendly soon.

If pinch to zoom doesn't work that is a bug. I'll get it changed.

maybe will you guys will do something about it if i post in here... PLEASE GET RID OF THE 'DELETE ALL MY THREADS' BUTTON ON THE MOBILE SITE. i have hit it on accident so many times and its soooooo FUCKING annoying
 
We're all about mobile. We're going to go through the entire site and mobile-ify it.

Only like five years late to the party.

PMs are still a little iffy. I've had a gew times where in mobile it shows no messages then when I sign into the full site on my comp I can see my messages

I used to go to the full site on my phone to be sure, I cant find that option now
 
More of an aesthetic thing than anything but in my profile on the mobile site the second digit past the point for the average member rating on the karma chart is cut off. It's not ruining my life or anything as melodramatic as that but sometimes I feel like I would like to see that digit.
 
Thx. Can't say I'm happy bout that. Couldn't figure out how to get onto the regular site on my Samsung 2g either. :-(
 
Anyone else having major performance issues with the mobile site? I can guarantee a crash in a thread with 2 or more embeds, or 5 or more gifs. Picture heavy threads make me crash to. Using a 4th gen iPod touch (yeah I know it's weaksauce) with iOS 6.0.1 and I use Google Chrome to browse. Issue happens on safari as well. Issues weren't frequent and never consistent before. Crashes would happen at random. That isn't the case anymore. I don't have this problem on other forums and sites.

Maybe it's time to finally upgrade away from the touch....
 
I find mobile a tad frustrating. I'll usually opt out of using it unless I'm bored and need to kill time. Thread pages never seem to fit...therefore when scrolling down you are wiggling all over the place because there is a whole other half to the page if you scroll to the right. No idea why its like that but I know I am not the only one who experiences that. Also MyThreads is tiny. I always have to zoom to see anything. It happens inside certain threads too. I just don't find it user friendly =\
 
yea I have the same thing. I have to zoom in to read anything because the full size page only takes up a fraction of the screen, and there's nothing but blank space to the right.
