Kill the can and get healthy

Hey Y'all,

I am not fat, but I am not thin either. I feel somewhat self conscious about my body and that affects my life. I am wondering if you had any tips for losing weight/ not consuming so much extra food. In addition

I am addicted to dip. I dip 24/7, after every meal, bathroom breaks, whenever Im bored. So I'm asking how should i kill the can.

Last thing i was thinking about it yet, I felt it was too daunting of a task to give up dip, soda, and any other unhealthy foods.
 
To lose weight:

1. Eat smaller portions of healthier foods

2. Cardio

To quit chewing tobacco:

1. Throw that shit in the trash and don't give in to the cravings.

Like AR6 suggested, cardio and healthy foods. It can be really hard to start running, but once you really get into it, running becomes a very euphoric experience and you can get awesome running highs. Try getting your friends to start running with you. When you have someone to talk to, the miles just dissapear. Also, it doesn't even have to be running, it will be more helpful if you find something that you like to do and can commit to. Finding healthy foods that you like can be hard, but it is also a way to get into cooking, bitches love cooks.

As for quitting, go to google images, look up "effects of chewing tobacco".
 
The toughest thing is the withdrawal symptoms. You may get cramps and other effects that are pretty severe and make you feel like you are having a heartattack or that you have thrown your back out or something. Nicorette gum was nasty and seemed to make detox even worse.

Acupuncture worked for me when everything else failed. Did not have the detox symptoms that I got when I tried to quit cold turkey. It was pretty easy, and I haven't had a chew in 12 years. I was pretty close to a can a day guy.
 
the top three things you can do to get healthier:

1. exercise more

2. drink more water

3. think positive

I think some people have switched from dipping to eating sunflower seeds. you could try that see if it works for you.
 
Replace your current unhealthy addiction to a healthier one like running. Occupy yourself more with this healthier activity so you don't get the urge to chew as much. It's a win win situation for you!
 
These top 3s will help a lot. Just eat healthier and think positive if you work on not being self conscious and stop thinking that your a big guy then you will start losing wait to. Also drink a lot of water helps a lot
 
Just quit chewing, buy seeds, gum, and there's also fake dip you can buy too. How are your gums from all the chew? My right sides receding now after 2 yrs of half a can a day
 
Not sure about getting healthier other than do more cardio and eat around the same time everyday which should get your body into a routine and stop you from snacking throughout the day. I'm not sure if this would work as well for dip but my hockey coach said he quit cigarettes by eating one and he felt terrible and piled and said he never wanted a dart ever again so that might work for you with dip as well.
 
if you want to lose weight park the car, start biking to work or school everyday. if you can get into running it will be amazing for you. tons more energy, you can still eat a lot if you run a good amount each day. it sucks when you are so out of shape that running four miles is a killer event but after that you will be in love.
