Kids that lie about being sponsored

I'm in highschool and it seems like every fucking skier/boarder says they're sponsored by big name companies and they suck dicks at what they do. But i dont know why they even care about being sponsored. What do you guys think?

2. Who cares. Do YOU. You are caring way too much about other people. If you focus on yourself and not them maybe you'll get sponsored.
 
This kid told me that he was sponsored by his dad's jewelry shop.

His nickname became jewels.
 
Im sponsored by boone skis,full tilt boots,redbull and oakley.

I can do side jumps and go in front of skiers who gonna slide rail.

I hear that a lot too at my high school and then laugh my ass off when I see them at the mountain hitting a rail for the first time.
 
its highschool. kids care way too much about their rep so they lie. dont care what they do. you just keep skiing for your own benefit. them having or not having sponsors has no effect on you or your abilities
 
Get really good and try to get sponsored by the companies they say they're on. Then you can be like, "you're no on my team, Bitch"
 
Do they actually say in person they're sponsored? Or is it just like when they get free gear they're like "Oh thanks Full Tilts for the new boots, so steezy", shit like that?
 
im 12 i can do a lencoln, corc 7, and i can flip in & out of rails can i git spawnsord becuz my only spawnsor is woo teng
 
Met a kid at college last year, he told me he was sponsored by armada so of course I checked out his edits, annndddd of course he couldn't ski. He also told me my 2xl pants weren't baggy enough…my feelings were supah dupah hurt!

i was the only kid who skied in my whole school of 2000 kids.... so i really can't relate, but i was actually sponsored.

How?

Because I'm Wes and i ski fast as fuck.
 
Not gonna lie I use to be one of these kids, but at a much younger age. I was in 6th grade and there was nothing more I wanted in life then to be a pro skier. So I heard about hook it and made an account and before I knew it I got hit up with an offer from a goggle company and was living out my dream of being sponsored. 50% of steelmx goggles . then I got ekon power bands and go pro and life was legit. I felt like a pro and lived my dream. By 8th grade I realized I was a faggit and I sucked at skiing and none of my sponsor ships where real. And just promotional things to get me to buy shit at discount. Moral of the story I lived my dream in a lie and probably wouldn't of had it differently. But for high schoolers to do this is kinda querr
 
Some of my friends and I started a little film crew this year called Tree Line Tribe, mostly just for kicks and because we like skiing and filming together. It happens to be getting some recognition, particularly on instagram. I swear man 99% of the comments are kids asking us to sponsor them and shit! We have an edit and some stickers, I don't know what the fuck these kids even want from us lol

With all honesty ever since I was a kid I wanted to be sponsored but know skiing is all about freedom and doing what I like and what I want to do. I DONT WANT TO BE SPONSORED!!! any one else feel that way? or is it just me

My friends are all "hurry up let's get spons from spy, red bull, etc". I don't have a single sponsor.
 
Happened to some kid at the skatepark this weekend.

Some kid shows up, never seed him before. Says hes sponsored by salad skateboards, showing off the deck he got "Flowed to him by team manager" (AKA bought at local shop).

An hour later, owner of salad skateboards shows up, because a new skateshop opened up nearby that carries his boards. Everyone asks owner if he sponsored this kid.

"Who are you"

Priceless.

My friend does this on social media, when some gaper kid comments on their photo "are you spancerd?" they reply yeah saga and k2. I call him out everytime.
