Kid with afterbangs

my old friend thinks that due to the fact that he bought line anthems he will become "better than me" and as of saturday he still cant 180. and let me point out i too have line anthems haha. gaper.

I have to admit, I do hate on kids who look like they're super good but aren't at all.. But I shouldn't because I'm sure i've done that at some point. I'm sure at some point we've all been posers. So I shouldn't hate and actually help the kid(s) out.Who I DO have a legit reason to hate on is kids who roll over lips of jumps or knuckle every time and just fuck up the jump. Or go super slow and make me wait until they're completely out of the park for me to drop. I recently clipped the side of a board because he was in the landing. People like that are dangerous and piss me off.

I kno what you mean, my buddy wears bandanas and baggy stuff and he's not that good, he just wants to look like the pros but he sucks

why should you care that some kid has nice stuff but sucks? Just makes you seem like a jealous doosher. How does someone else's stuff effect you? Just ski and don't worry about what other people do, hating doesn't belong in skiing.

for everyone that said he bought afterbangs cuz they were cheap and economical. FALSE. the kid prolly walked into a shop and the kid said i want to do tricks and rails and shit. and the salesman prolly said afterbangs so durable real cool! and he prolly gave the kid whatever size came up to his chin. the kid is an idiot. if he wouldve shopped around he couldve found so many of last years models for cheaper. i bought anthems with fks all for 310 dollars with mounting and break bending. that is cheaper than the $359 for just the afterbang skis. and my base and edges are still prime depsite the fact that they are octolands and were made three years ago lulz.

its not the nice stuff that people have that pisses me off, its the kids that pose as freestyle skiers that can't do shit. they buy them to look cool

Once i was in my local mountain and chillin in the park just doing some easy sw dub cork 12s and 10s and tried to get in my pretzel 4s and 6s, this little kid came by and did a safety grab and on the next jump he did a 180. I was so pissed. Oh and yeah later i tried sw double 14 and almost had it.

Dude, you're a goddam monster. You of all people deserve to wear it. I highly doubt even 2,000 kids on this forum have ever thrown a dub before.

ha i hate it too, i wear 10 dollar sweatshirrts tht i bought at footaction and these kids have air raid jackets and cant ski.....ugh

If I were your parents I would be getting worried that you kids are so thin skinned and mentally fucked up that the equipment other people are using bothers you?

To the fuckstick that started this thread:

You realize the Line Afterbang is a price point ski right? It is very inexpensive and easy to ski. When that kid walked into a ski store earlier this season and said he wanted to get into park skiing, the afterbang was an obvious choice due to the kids inexperience (its easy to ski and maintain), and its cheap price (who wants to pay $500-$600 when they are just starting to ski park?). The afterbang was probably a much better choice for him then a highly tuned comp ski like the Armada Pipe Cleaner, Fischer Addict Pro, and Dynastar 6th sense Pipe.

What is it about the afterbang's pissed you off so much? if he had spent the same amount of money and gotten the K2 extreme would you be as pissed off? What about spending more and getting the Rossi S4? Is it because it said line on it?

Is it because Line is a "core" company, ya it really sucks that the kid chose to spend money with a company that puts money back into skiing.

Grow the fuck up.

I know right! We couldn't possibly want people actually learning how to throw down in the park!!
Half of you are a bunch of assholes.

You get em everywhere, but f***it, people have gota start somewhere. As annoying as it can be, a talented skier can work round these issues....give em some space....when they're clear do your thing.....or step up your game and take it to the back country. You won't find fake frowns there harshing your buzz.

at my hill i saw some 60 year old dude hit a flat bar

his bindings were atleast 20 cm off center

but when he hit the rail he didnt pop and fell right on his head it was funny

yeah i know a kid who gets new line skis everyyear, has the dopest gear, and thinks hes so good, and then is scared to do a box straight or even go off of a jump. twin tips but has never gone backwards, hes worse at park than most gapers!

if you see a person at your resort consistently doing this, and everytime you see them they are cutting people off and hitting nothing in the park i could be annoyed by that. But if it's the only time you see someone then it's really not fair to judge. Did you see that kid in a rail or box section of the park? Maybe he had to buy rear enty boots till he gets enough money for good ones and they don't have enough support for jumps-- or whatever the case.
i'm just saying that you don't really know anything about his skiing unless you've seen him do more than go over rollers.

this season i saw 4 people with my skis

2 kids were fat and had racer helmets. they rolled off the lips.

1 kid was a smal kid that could barely spin

the other kid was actually an amazing kid that dideverything so clean

yea some people are assholes and some people actually use them

i have to say, I sometimes dont feel qualified to wear the gear i wear, Saga/FT hah but then I see others who have similar gear and they suck as well, but its all good. Cant learn without sucking at the start right?

theres a fat kid at my hill who's got afterbangs, t-halls, line blends and public enemy's and his best trick is a straight air off the small kicker. and all he does is push in line at the park then bail.

well, you can get Afterbangs for cheaper than $359, you just need to look around.... I found Afterbangs, size 155 and 166 for

PRICE

$251.30

getboards.com..... So maybe the kid isnt an idiot and wants afterbangs and researched them for a really long time, saved up money, and had a great time with them. But thats impossible.

only thing i hate is when youre waiting for a jump some dude cruises by you and sees you sitting there waiting and then goes to said jump and stops at the landing...dont you see me waiting?

Uh... No. I'm riding my old pair of 07-08 public enemy's that are absolutely falling apart because I don't have any money to buy a new pair. I said "This" in response to that one guy because I recognized his sarcasm. He was obviously being facetious and pretending to be the type of person that has all of that money but no skill. He made a joke, and I recognized it.

You always have to think about things. Someone posted here saying he saw a really gangster looking kid going past every feature in the park. What if he just got back from a broken leg or arm and cant ride park right away or isnt even supposed to be skiing cause of an injury? There is always a reason

I got a kid that ive gone sking with a couple times who runs around with Rossi S3's and when we all hit a jump he will either not hit it or bust out the no spin safety grab. Also he just bought brand new oakley splices and will always wear them on top of his helmet and never on his face. Just pisses me off.

Why does that piss you off? How does it affect you in any way what gear you friend uses, or how he skis?
