got hit by a car while riding his bike, went thru the windsheild and had to get helicopter lifted away, this was on a residential street where the speed limit is 30 i think and he went thru the fricken windshield! the girl driving was 18 n obviously speedin like wow

i almost hit 2 kids riding on one bike today, they kept veering towards me so i had to do some mad james bond swerving to not kill them (i was going the speed limit too)

a Kid at our school wrapped his truck around a tree a week ago, docters said 10 percent chance of survival when he got to the hospital. he was at our prom on saturday.

one time i was biking home after a day of dirtjumping and a guy pulled out infront of me with his van and totally hit me. for some reason it didnt hurt until a few hours later. and i was able to bike home.

Last year some fuck smashed through my moms back window of her car. He was just biking and didnt see my moms car parked on the side of the road infront of her friends house. The car was pretty bashed and so was he.

this morning, i got side swiped by some old black lady in a brand new m. effin. lexus. so were waiting in the suicide lane for the chp to show up when i see this van pull out in front of oncoming traffic and a guy on a motorcycle ran straight into the side of the van and smashed his arm through the backseat window and he was pinned between his bike and the van. if i hadnt have called the chp when i did, the paramedic said that he most likely would have bled to death. so im fucking grateful i got hit before that. I was helping him when he was waiting for the ambulence and i couldnt help but drill in his head "you are so fucking lucky. someone up there has got your back to the end, and even though youre hurt, youre still here. today is the luckiest day of your life" and shit like that. he just kept nodding and was like, "i fucking know"

bicyclists have to abide by much of the same motorist laws that regulate drivers of motorized vehicles.

I've seen it happen before, I was at court and witnessed a guy receive a fine and also a point on his driving record for not coming to a complete stop at a nearby stopsign. He was riding a bicycle.

And the courts do give pedestrians preferential treatment in many cases so that they have strict protection. It's to help knock down the number of fatalities in vehicle/pedestrian crashes. When you are a pedestrian, there are no 'fender benders.' If you get hit by a car, death or serious injury is very likely to occur.

However, a pedestrian does NOT always have the right of way. There was a case a while back where a girl was running across the street. There was a nearby crosswalk but she was a number of feet away from it. She was hit and killed by the car. The charges against the driver were dropped because visibility was poor, and she was jaywalking.

i got hit by an envoy skating a yr ago... it didnt hurt tho.. they were going 15mph.. i was learning to skate and thats pretty much been the end of my skating career

This fucken fuck in my neighbourhood who just plows out off his driveway without even lookin everyday on his bike....he's like 11 right, well one day he just happend to ride right out infront of a truck, and the kid fainted out on the spot. unfortunatly he was okay, because the truck was like jeep with super extensions on the wheels lifting the car off the ground so the bottom of the jeep wasnt able to touch him, he just lay underneath the vehicle when the car stopped. So in the end the dipfuck of a kid was perfectly fine, just that he fainted.

one of my friends was walkin through a taco bell parking lot and this guy was goig like 25 and slammed in his brakes but him my friends had. the dumbass who hit him started swearing at him to.

A few years ago my brother and I were racing each other down the street on our bikes. We were going pretty fast and looked across the street at each other for about two seconds when my brother just stopped on the spot. He had hit a parked car full speed on his bike. First thing that hit were his nuts on the handlebar. It was quite funny, reminded me of Star Wars when they are in the forest on those racer things.

I watched a 10 year old kid get wheeled into the hospital being given chest presses by the paramedics. 30 minutes later we where sat next to the family room where the crying dad was escorted out to see his son (that 10 yearold) who had just drowned.

ahhaha, at a dirtbike race i had last year, two kids got knocked over in the woods by deer. they just flew across the trail and decked the kids. the one was like " yeah i was flying along and i see this dear jump out and take out derrick and i was like, oh shit a dear just hit-WHAM and one jumps out and decks the shit out of me!" hahahah, wow good times...

this girl that went to my HS got hit by a car on her ride home from work and was killed, the driver drove away too after hitting her and throwing her like 35 feet.

i was hit while riding my longboard in santa monica, driver drove off too. pretty shitty thing to have happen to you
