Kick me some knowledge, summer style in govtcamp.

Me and a friend are looking to come out for a week in August, on the cheap cheap cheap. Lookin into maybe 80 dollars a night for a room...I've got the names of some places I'm lookin at(feel free to suggest...Huckleberry Inn sounds good)...but more importantly whats the transportation setup? Any way to get from PDX into Gov't camp, like a public transit bus or shuttle, then any shuttles or transit into sandy or something, just to get food/groceries/eats...and then any shuttles or transit to Timberline/if not what are some alternatives.

Oh, and this isn't so restricted to Gov't camp...if you know any better places that could better....suit my needs...let me know. All imput appreciated and needed!
 
its super easy to hitchike from govy to T-line. they get picked up like hotcakes. i dunno about getting to govy from PDX though, unless you want to pay uber cab charge
 
Remember, everything is gettig split 50/50 basically with my friend...and cab is always a last resort...I remember seeign something about a shuttle to Sandy at least...hmm....I'll post more tomorrow morning. Goodnight.
