Keystones Snow Bowl

I was up at Keystone on wednesday and they were building a bowl like in skating. Looks like a horseshoe cut with pipe dragon then there is a tunnel to get out. This thing looks really sick, super innovative too.

yea i was there yesterday and it was open. its a horseshoe with jumps on each side to drop in kinda like a pipe, you can hit the 1st wall well and then the 2nd time is harder. tehres a hole in the middle to leave, its in the big park right after the two tables, its pretty sick

 
i personally think its kinda stupid and useless, maybe they should work on making the jumps good before they do all this 'innovate' bullshit thats skecthy as hell.

 
Don't bother, their park is terrible and the bowl doesn't look good

the toilet bowl thing is alright, but i agree that they need to work on their jumps before making new things

the transition on the bowl thing is so steep. i like the concept, but they didnt think it through

 
Granted their hits suck but there's not too much they can do with where they are cause its so flat, atleast they maximize what you can do with the speed there. The bowl thing is real sick, there's not much you can do off the jumps becuase of the way you have to change your axis to hit the tranny but then having a scond hit is way sick, its a lot of fun to me. You have to give props to keystone they are getting better and better every week and every season, better hits, cool features, sick pipe, and some crazy rails. They're no where near the breck standard for their airs but no body is. Give keystone a chance, they'lll figure it all out soon.

keystones jumps are the worst jumps I've hit all season. Breck, Vail, Winter Park, Copper, even beaver creek have better hits up.

 
Keystone get the lest daylight Cat time of any park in Summit. I think that should help explain some things.

The amount of daylight has nothing to do with making shitty jumps. If they got sun all day it would still make for shitty jumps.

 
the horse shoe is gay! thats all there is to it. if you know how to realy drop into a pipe, you cant do it on that thing. all it is is a gaper attraction because they dug that tunnel through it. i just use the outside as a quarter because thats all its good for. they should have fixed the 2 jumps and built another set of jumps there instead of that thing. even the park crew hates it! it needs to die!

^you arent supposed to drop into it like a real pipe (its not a real pipe) hit the hips into it and try to land smooth unless you fear progression but then you should quit skiing all together

 
It is a fun feature to play on, and you don't drop it lie a pipe
