Kevin Rolland leave Rossignol

weird...u would expect he would want to stay with a big company and they would want him since hes such a good pipe skier....
 
that was probably where the company started, but since then they were bought by quicksilver and became much more americanized.
 
Rolland is THE name in pipe skiing. He will be the one to beat in the 2014 Winter Olympics, and I'm sure that he knows it and is looking to be compensated appropriately. I don't think Coreupt could afford him AND other "big names."
 
No but he left rossi for them in 08, doesn't ride for APO...likely Rolland would switch to coreupt since they're based out of tignes.
 
dude whats the deal with apo? why does everyone wanna move to them? im an American so i know nothing about them but can they even afford to pay what Rolland and Candide and sammy deserve?
 
That could well be a good guess, salomon could certainly afford him, and they will want a good pipe rider on the team, since they decided not to pay what dumont wanted.
 
I have a pair of coreupt skis and i love em super durable and light. I hear that there first years skis were terrible cause they were rebranded dynastars but all the years after everyone loves em. Just wondering why you think they suck?
 
torin is there too, he's now a big part of the game in pipe. it will always be a rolland vs dumont vs torin now and one day, torin will be the first because he's soo young and have plenty of time to learn new stuff.(he ''landed'' a triple cork 19 at water ramps)
 
as much as i love torin, i dont think he is at that level yet with the big boys. dont get me wrong, the kid has some mad skills and has so much potential to be at that level by 18, definitely. i just think that he might be in the top 15 at least, but not top 3. guess we will all see in sochi.

oh and for the kevin rolland thing, does anyone think he might go for atomic?
 
That sucks for Rossi. After they lost a bunch of guys a few years ago Kye, Xavier and Kevin seemed like a last remaining hope for their freeski team.
 
ams/small name pros don't keep a team alive

the fact that rossi is still around is honestly surprising, they were rumored to file bankruptcy and go under for a while
 
So sad that such a great company can't survive. They make some of the best skis on the market. S4's are amazing!
 
Yea they went under hard. Ended up getting bought out by an Australian group. They went from selling close to 1, 000 000 skis per year to little over a few hundred thousand I think.

sorry but if finished 2nd last xgame... rolland was first and simon was 3rd.

he is definitly part of the ''big boys''
 
that happened a couple years ago. from what i understand, they are owned indirectly by a couple different companies
