this thread is mainly for the NSers with KT.

for those who don't know it is when you have a misshapen cornea. it is usually in the shape of cone hence "conus" part. It is like a severe astigmatism but not quite.

i was wondering who else has it? How do you manage it? Do you wear contacts? i wear hard in the middle with soft skirts.

This coming august i am going up to toronto to the Bochner Eye Institute for a Collagen Cross linking. They will be shedding a layer of my eye and injecting collagen into my eye. I am lucky enough to go. I found out this past october and I've had GREAT help from my eye doctor (Dr.Caroll Boyd). I am only 13 and that is considered early for a KT patient. Usually it its women in their 20s when they find out about it.

IT IS NOT A DISEASE BUT IT IS A DISORDER

your fellow KT patient

On another note I have a severe astigmatism to the point where I can't even get contacts because my cornea is misshaped.
