Keep snow soft at night after a warm day?

We are organizing a rail jam this weekend.

Last year was the best temperature we could of asked for, above zero soft snow, perfect for rail jam.

This yesr however it will go to minus 1 or 2 and warm during the day. enough to get hard snow. Any tips on how to prep snow during the day?
 
Get the rough shape during the day while its warm. Re rake everything just before it freezes and leave cords everywhere.
 
I wish the property of salt lowering the freezing point of water would work for that but it does the opposite for snow. Nothing you can do. But if it's near freezing and the snow gets moved around with enough riding on it it'll still be slushy.

Thats what i was thinking, with the riding.
