Ok, so I officially hate Kazaa, well, moreso the moronic users, but anyways. So I'm online, and I'm like, I'm gonna rip the new CKY cd (very sick cd). So I hope on Kazaa, and grab sthe songs. I go to play them., and 90% f the songs I got were a small looped smaple of 'Flesh into Gear' and it pisses me off soooo much.

yeah i like kazaa. but i know exactly what you are talking about, i had that happen to me with some other band. It sucked, at first i didn't notice cause i was doing some work while i was listening to it, then i was like, what the fuck, these songs don't change much they are really boring. Then i realized what had happend.

I do own the cd. I don't have a burner, or the program to rip it to MP3 format. And I wanted the songs on my playlist so I could have it mixed in with the rest of my playlist.

CTripper, bands dont make their money from CDs. Record labels do. Bands make money from T-Shirts, radio play, videos, and touring. not CDs. The ymake liek a dollar for every CD sold. Record companies make like $10 from it, and the rest goes to marketing and packaging.

yeah nine milla killas right... just look at TLC...they went bankrupt, watch the behind the music and they explain how you make like no money off your cd but from clothes and concerts and shit like that.

Well if you don't like kazaa its quiet simple DON'T USE IT ! Just go out to the store and BUY the kind of music you want with you OWN money that way you won't have to spend hours downloading a particular song when you can get the whole CD within 2 minutes of walking into the store

Or just use cable and download the whole CD in the two minutes you would of spent walking into the store. Plus you can avoid the walking, but seriously if you like the band support them like 9MK said, see a concert, buy a shirt, whatever.

i used irc a little. you really can find anything you want, but typing the names of songs into the search box is so much easier.

 
i just ripped a dozen pulley songs while i was at the bar...i'm happy. I used to own the cd, but i lent it out and never got it back.

Kazaalite uses the same fasttrack network with the same programs... I like using IRC and getting whole disk images of the music. That way you get the whole CD in one easily managable file.

I do use Kazaa-Lite however, if I need one specific song, or whatever. Its not TOO bad, the problem, however, is that everyone ramps down their available bandwidth so you only get like 0.05k/s off of people. The whole point of P2P is to share, people! just turn the damnn client off when you are done using it if you dont want people downloading from you.

given kazaa is older and people switched to alternatives like limewire/frostwire/utorrent I doubt theres many

side note, some of the signatures on these replies are gold

also i grew up with shit internet but gaahdamn homies talking about 2 hours for one song
