Kayaking the Niagara Gorge

Entertaining retelling of a kayakers trip down the Niagara Gorge. If you are unfamiliar with the Niagara River Gorge, it is home to Class 6 Rapids, which are the highest rated rapids possible.

Very impressive if you have ever been to the Gorge and seen the water that rips through there. Here's some photos of the Gorge to put it in perspective.

way too long to read but... i live there and its definitely the craziest river I've ever seen. especially with all the whirlpools to suck you under forever, they're freaking massive
 
Grew up in the area myself.

The read is very entertaining and is not long by any means. Guy hopped in his boat as cops caught up to him, ran the river, and then tried to run from the cops.

Fucking crazy. Those whirl pools can suck a 20 foot boat under and hold it for a long time I've heard. Been there a few times, shit is fucking insane.

Thats fucked up crazy though, like you head down that gorge and you can't just get out, you can't stop, you HAVE to just go and get the shit done. Balls on the wall
 
you would have to use such a huge boat for that, and it would be so fucking you wouldnt even really have much control over yourself... it would just be like occasionally paddling for your fucking life, then trying your very hardest not to turn over in the huge waves, repeat. those guys have enourmous fucking balls. like huge.

hahah this made me wanna kayak so bad, i used to have the sickest little playboat... such a dope summer activity.
