Kartel 98 or ARV 96ti

Hey guys,

Need some new skis for next season and torn on the next quiver addition.

Me: 37 6’0 190lb. Ski a bit of everything right now with less and less park each season. Love ripping the whole mountain and hitting natural features. Spend almost 100% of the time out west with most of the days at Jackson and Revelstoke. I have a ski for deep days (Volkl Kuro), Resort Pow (Line Mordeci), All mountain hard pack (High Society FR Camber) and park (Rossi Scratch).

Looking for something for the whole mountain with a bit of rocker unlike the HS FR but power performance is really low on the list as anything more than a couple of inches I pull out the Mordeci. Was leaning towards getting a pair of Kartel 98 as I hear nothing but good things about them but then I also see that Armada is releasing an ARV 96ti. I would trade the ability to butter and press for stability at spead. Weight is a concern but definitely not highest on the list. Just want something really fun that can handle speed. My only concern for the Kartel is the rocker profile looks like there is a ton of rocker in the tip and tail, reducing the effective edge. The ARV seems like it has a lot less rocker and more camber under foot but that is just what I can tell from pictures.

What would you get for firm snow days understanding that the ARV 96ti (zero) is not out yet for testing? Thank for the help

Worried that the new zeros might sell out before the reviews are in. No idea how “limited” the production will be especially in the longer sizes. I figure they are just going to be a stiffer ARV with a little bit of extra weight. Thinking the rocker profile on the ARV might be better for what I am looking for but I am torn. Those custom pink Kartels look sick

The old ARVti might be up your alley too. Lil bit of tip and tail rocker with a metal inlay for stiffness. Has same shape as the Al Dente and Edollo.
