Kartel 116 188 Demos, Replace binding with non demo?

With the season starting up I was putting some thought into replacing the Attack 13 demo bindings on my Kartel 116, 186 with the non demo version.

I'm pretty light (154, 5'9), so I'm a bit worried the weight is gonna be killer when I finally break these out for a powder day. Anyone have insight on whether switching to the non demo version (mounted -1) would be wise? Or just say fuck it and ski it?

It'll ski nicer without demo bindings, but if your only reason for switching is the weight... I doubt it'd make much of a difference on a pow day

The demo binding from tyrolia does not take up much space or weigh that much. It even allows you to play with the mounting position on the skis by sliding both the heel and toe forward or back. Got a powder day? move it back a couple centimeters. Want to balance things out and hit rails, move it up.

This is what I was going to say. If anything you are better off with a demo binding.

I went through something similar. My K2 Marksmans I bought as never ridden demos from my local shop. I skied them for a season on the griffon demos and they were alright but i kept finding myself pre-releasing because the way the rails are on the griffon demo i couldn't quite get the forward pressure right. I ended up having them re-mounted with pivots purely due to pre releasing and also not liking griffons in general. If you don't have a problem with the binding you have i'd say to just ski them.
