Karma and registration just got updated

I think that pretty obvious for the new Karma tool. Just roll over the Karma rating below the user name in the forums. And click the + and - signs to rate people.

this is going ot be used so much more.... i hope the weighting has been accumulated for this, and i know you guys know what your doing. so, props.

thats a really cool addition to the site.... and i really like how it doesn't clutter up the forums
 
awesome stuff, so much more user friendly, I noticed we could rate ourselves, does it actually work cause if it does that could be a problem.
 
Ha ha. yea. I made that grab guide thing and bunch of people are like "+Karma" I never saw any of that karma come my way...It was a sad thing.
 
it did feel like i was going out of my way earlier to up karma people. And you didn't know what their Karm was without opening the linkage. there are so many karmas that are out of place and now i feel like i have to get my votes in.
 
yeah word, I just added to your karma btw haha. I don't even know how it affects their rating, whenever I +karma someone I see no change. I feel like it should be a lot more user based, but it's not. A lot of notorious posters have pretty high karma, which I'm not saying is bad, but then a lot of people who I see helping out/ posting a lot have mid-40's karma.. even if I add to their karma.

I guess it only seems lame to me because 50 is the middle and other people as well as me are stuck below that, and I'm not sure why. With plenty of posts (okay.. not every single one is amazingly helpful but still..) and uploaded pictures/ reviews I don't see why it's not higher.

Anyway, this new addition of karma directly in the posts is definitely a nice improvement to the system, and hopefully a step in the right direction to more accurate ratings.

 
JDC you fucking rule! The new karma tool is sooo much better! Its sooo much easier than karma rating thru profile which not many people really did. Nice work!
 
Oh shit, just realized this. Wordd, gonna take awhile to get used to start using it all the time but I think this is a great thing.
 
haha yeah i used to worry about my karma being low then I thought, hey it doesn't actually matter that much.

I'll give you some karma to help ya out haha
 
I used to go out of my way to down karma a first claimer but then I got bored of it. So now i'll only do it if they call first and they're actually like 5th, cuz they just failed.
 
Is 50 really the median? There seem to be a lot of solid contributors with low karma.

Props on implementing the new feature, btw.
 
i dont get it: if 50 is the middle then why am i so low. i have traded/bought and everyone has told me they liked doing buisness w. me. and i prety much never leave hate...

oh and i do like the update, i rate alot of people now
 
ah, I gotcha. Good luck with the fix. Now I have a better question: how did you link me to your exact post?
